With the rapid development of modern society, people’s living standards have become increasingly demanding. Especially we pay more attention to the prevention and treatment of some diseases. According to a survey that cardiovascular disease is one of the main killers of human health. The prevention and treatment of these diseases have become a subject of great significance. Electrocardiogram(ECG) is depicted by ECG data which can response the health of the heart and it is the main means to diagnose cardiovascular disease. However, due to various limitations, prolonged hospitalization prevention become imposable for most patients with cardiovascular disease, coupled hidden, unexpected and some other features. We urgent need a kind of portable ECG device to realize the remote monitoring to the patients for24hours.Currently, with the continuous development of technology, the digital signal processor(DSP) has also been a rapid development and wide application. Therefore, we designed a kind of remote wireless monitoring terminal based on DSP, together with the monitoring center to achieve the prevention and control of the cardiovascular disease in patients. The monitoring terminal is composed of two parts:hardware and software and divided into six modules:ECG data acquisition, progressing, storage, display and GPRS communications and GPS positioning module.This article chooses TI’s TMS320C5515as the core processing. It is suite to the design of the monitoring terminal because of its low power consumption, high processing speed and other characteristics. ECG data acquisition module is based on TI’s ADS1298chip, which is a low power,8-channel, simultaneous sampling,24-bit digital-analog delta-sigma(△Σ) converter(ADC) module. We use SIMCOM’s SIM900A as the ECG data communication module, this article uses GPRS communication. GPS positioning module uses JRC Inc.’s G591.G591has high receiver sensitivity, low power consumption and precise positioning, etc. The basic functions of the ECG terminal designed in this article:The ADS1298uses the collected ECG data for A/D conversion and then transfers to the DSP for processing, LCD display the ECG waveform in real time, SD card stores ECG data in real time. Once the unnormal ECG data is detected by DSP, it sent the unnormal ECG data and GPS positioning information to the monitoring center by SIM900A. The monitoring center can achieve receiving ECG data, marking the specific location of the patient, playback the ECG data and an auxiliary diagnosis, etc.
