Objective: To observe and evaluate the clinical efficacy of Tongfengkang combinedwith Chinese medicine nursing in the treatment of gout arthritis, and discuss the effectsand significance of this method in treatment of gout arthritis. The purpose is to study theChinese medicine treatment methods,"medical, medicine and nursing," as a whole toprevent and treat gouty arthritis; and to explore the clinical significance of promotingrecovery of the disease, delaying deterioration of the disease and improving quality ofpatients life.Methods:60patients those meet the standard acute exacerbation of gouty arthritis werecollected.30patients in treatment group are given Tongfengkang and Chinese medicinenursing based the basis treatment.30patients in control group are given non-steroidalanti-inflammatory painkiller medicine treatment and routine care based the basistreatment. The observation time of the two groups is one month, and the follow-up timeis three months. The observed indicators are the total effect after treatment, TCMsymptom scores before and after treatment, VAS pain score, SF-36scale, UA levels,CRP levels, ESR levels, ALT, AST, Scr, etc.. After scoring and statistical processing, theefficacy was comprehensively assessed, and the safety was evaluated. Results: On the clinical study the total effective rate of the treatment group was93.33%while the control group was83.33%. The significant differences (P <0.05)illustrates the the efficacy of the treatment group is better than the control group.Symptom score were significantly decreased after treatment, which has significantdifferences (P <0.01). And the treatment group is better than the control group, thedifference was statistically significant (P <0.01).That means the clinical symptoms aftertreatment were improved in patients those treated with the clinical symptoms. Aftertreatment, VAS pain scores were significantly decreased, with statistical significance (P <0.01), and the treatment group decreased more (P <0.01), which indicates that in thetreatment group the effect of relieving pain is more significant. After treatment, theSF-36scale scores was improved significantly, without statistical significance (P>0.05)of RE. Other indicators have significant differences, and the treatment group is betterthan the control group (P <0.05), that means quality of life of two patients aftertreatment were improved, and the treatment group was better. The inflammatory factors(CRP,ESR) levels of the two groups before and after treatment were significantlydecreased, with statistical significance (P <0.01), and the treatment group decreasedmore than the control group, that indicates the inflammatory factors after treatment hasbeen effectively controlled and treated more effectively. The UA after treatment wassignificantly lower than before, with statistical significance (P <0.01). The UA levelsdecreased in the treatment group more than the control group, the difference wasstatistically significant (P <0.05), which means the lowering blood uric acid in thetreatment group more effective. Treatment group and control group before and aftertreatment were detected in three conventional, heart and liver and kidney function.During the experiment, after adequate missionary hospital and explain, patientcompliance are acceptable treatment group patients without adverse reactions, thecontrol group had only1patient had mild diarrhea and gastrointestinal symptoms, butafter symptomatic treatment, the patient’s symptoms ease, the indicators of normal, patients continue treatment until the end of treatment, the rate of the both groups ofadverse reactions was no significant difference (P>0.05).Conclusion: Tongfengkang combined with Chinese medicine nursing can significantlyreduce the blood uric acid levels and inflammatory factors of gout patients, and improvesome clinical symptoms. The quality of life of patients can be improved effectively, theprogression of the gout can be slowed effectively, the frequency of relapses can bereduced, and there is no obvious toxicity for long-term use. These reflect the advantagesof Chinese medicine about "overall concept" and “medical, medicine and nursing” as a whole.
