Analysis On The Current Situation Of Patients With Type2Diabetes In Combination With Depression And Influencing Factors In Hefei City

Objectives To find out the current situation of type2diabetes in combination with depression in Hefei City, analyze the factors related to type2diabetes in combination with depression and the quality of life, and provide scientific basis for formulating measures to improve the life quality of patients with type2diabetes in combination with depression.Methods Self-made questionnaires were used in the survey, with EpiData3.1being used to input data, and SPSS17.0being used for data analysis to describe the general situation of diabetic patients. Two-sample t test, chi-square test, multivariate Logistic regression analysis methods were used to explore the influencing factors of type2diabetes in combination with depression. Multiple linear regression analysis was adopted to explore the influencing factors of the quality of life of patients with type2diabetes in combination with depression.Results1653questionnaires were collected, of which, valid ones was1606copies.605cases of1606patients of type2diabetes are also suffers of depression, accounting for37.67%, while1001cases are non-depressed persons, accounting for62.33%. According to the result of univariate analysis, factors associated with type2diabetes in combination with depression are gender, age, educational level, marital status, smoking, BMI, exercising, complications and blood glucose testing frequency, as well as family history of diabetes and alcohol. Logistic multivariate analysis was used to do further analysis, which suggested that type2diabetes in combination with depression are relevant to gender, age, educational level, marital status, smoking, BMI, complications, drinking, exercising, and blood glucose testing frequency. The DSQL scores, and scores of physical, psychological, social and treatment dimensions, in depressed group showed obvious increase compared with non-depressed group. Multivariate linear regression analysis showed the life quality of patients with type2diabetes in combination with depression in Hefei are relevant to marital status, sex, age, exercising, smoking, SDS, BMI, blood glucose testing frequency and complications, without correlation to education level, alcohol consumption and family history of diabetes.Conclusions Severe psychological disorder exists in patients with type2diabetes in Hefei, which is worthy of attention. Women are more depressed than men, and the older the patient is, the more depressed he/she is likely to be. Drinking, smoking, BMI, complications are hazards to depression, while exercising and high blood glucose testing frequency are protective factors of depression. The life quality of patients with type2diabetes is higher than that of patients with type2diabetes in combination with depression in Hefei. Exercising, blood glucose monitoring are in positive correlation with life quality. On the contrary, SDS, BMI, number of complications are in negative correlation with life quality.Recommendations (1) Lay more emphasis on the psychological status and life quality of patients with type2diabetes in combination with depression.(2)Popularize knowledges about type2diabetes in combination with depression to create a good social atmosphere, and give more attention and support to patients with type2diabetes.(3) In the therapeutic course, it is preferable to take an optimistic attitude, strengthen exercises, control weight, regulate the level of blood glucose and reduce complications, which are helpful to controlling the individual indicators, so that the life quality of patients with type2diabetes in combination with depression can be improved and rehabilitation of patients be promoted.
