| Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of comprehensivetreatment for moderate and severe acne patients in three months’ treatment.Materials and Methods: The study totally included25cases, with9females and16males. The patients’ avreage age is23. These cases are dividedinto two groups according to Pillsbury grading standard, which has20patientsof grade II and III,5patients of stage IV,thus20patients with moderate acne and5patients with severe acne. These25cases divided into groups with moderateand severe groups were given the treatment of Viaminate capsules,clarithromycin or roxithromycin orally. And if the inflammation is severe,Tripterygium glycosides is given in addition. For female acne patients with higeserum androgen, spironolactone is given also. Adapalene gel, clindamycin geland Winona skincare line is added as external use. Omnilux red&bluephototherapy is given twice weekly, with20minutes’ treatment each. Allpatients were treated for3months, and the clinical efficacy and treatmentadjustment accordance to the cfficacy is observed and taken every15days.Results: After1month of comprehensive treatment, the cure rate ofmoderate acne group is15%, and that of severe group is40%. Both the cure rateand the total effictive rate are0. Two months of treatment later, patients withmoderate ance get a cure rate of25%and a total effective rate of60%. The cure rate of patients with severe group is0, while the total effective rate is20%.Three months later, patients with moderate ance get a cure rate of35%and atotal effective rate of75%. The cure rate of patients with severe group is20%,while the total effective rate is40%. The outcomes of patients with severe acneis not ideal.Conclusion: The comprehensive treatment therapy is supposed to have asatisfactory results in a short term. |
