A Study On The Correlation Between Sex Hormone And Islet Function In PCOS

Objective:Through the analysis endocrine characteristics of polycystic ovarysyndrome (PCOS),to find the correlation between insulin resistance (IR)and sex hormone levels, in order to investigate the role of insulinresistance played in the pathogenesis of PCOS. We can early interventionor improve insulin resistance, to reduce the incidence of related diseases,and to provide basis for the comprehensive treatment of PCOS.Methods：30PCOS were chose as PCOS group according to the reviseddiagnostic criteria.announced in the2003American Society forReproductive Medicine Rotterdam consensus.According to theHOMA-IR，30PCOS were divided into IR group (PCOS-IR group,HOMA-IR≥2.69) and NIR group (PCOS-NIR group, HOMA-IR＜2.69).30normal reproductive age-matched individuals were chosen ascontrol group.Testing fasting plasma glucose, fastinginsulin,estradiol,testosterone,Luteinizing hormone,Follicle stimulatinghormone,prolactin、 HOMA-IR.And the test results were analyzedstatistically. Results：1、Compared to control group,serum levels of T and LH in PCOSgroup were significantly higher（P＜0.05）;Other sex hormone leveldifferences between the two groups have no statistical significance (P＞0.05).2、The FPG、FINS and HOMA-IR levels in PCOS group were higherthan in control group，and has significantly difference between them（P＜0.05）.3、The T level in PCOS-IR group was higher than in the control group（P＜0.05），Other sex hormone level differences between the twogroups have no statistical significance (P＞0.05).4、 The T level in PCOS group was positive correlation withHoma-IR(r=0.795,P＜0.05),the E2、LH level were null correlation withHoma-IR（r=-0.021、-0.459，P＞0.05）.Conclusion：Patients with PCOS have different degree of IR,high testosterone,high luteinizing hormone and other signs of hormonal disorders,Homa-IRhas positive correlation with the T,The IR and hyperandrogenism not onlyplay a separate role for PCOS, but also may influence each other, The IR、high testosterone and high luteinizing may lead to onset and progressionof PCOS together,which has important significance for PCOS.
