| Objective: Observing the score changes of the indexes of patientsbefore and after treatment, to evaluate the clinical effect of the method ofpromoting Qi activating blood, dredging the collaterals to stop pain combinedwith acupuncture on the postherpetic neuralgia and discuss its mechanism，and to explore a better therapy to reduce the pain of patients, improve thequality of their life.Method:1Case selection:65patients with postherpetic neuralgia in this ex-periment totally, had been diagnosed firstly in Outpatient Department ofHebei Provincial Hospital from March,2011to December,2013, conformed to the standard of postherpetic neuralgia, and belonged to qi stagnation and blood stasis by TCM differentiation.2Cases of group: All the patients who were selected were divided intotreatment group and control group randomly. Treatment group have33cases,with the method of promoting Qi activating blood，dredging the collaterals tostop pain combined with acupuncture, while control group have32cases, withoral Mecobalamin Capsules and Ibuprofen Sustained Release Capsules, bothof them were every time a grain, twice daily. The gender, age, disease course,scores of pain degree, sleep quality, the ability of work or housekeeping workbefore treatment had no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05), equally comparable.3Record results: Observed the score changes of the indexes of patientsafter treatments for two weeks and four weeks later, which including thescores of pain degree, sleep quality, the ability of work or housekeeping work.Did follow-up visit by outpatient service or telephone to all the patients every two weeks, demanded them fill in the questionnaires truthfully andindependently, and recorded the results respectively. After the statisticalsoftware analysis, the results of the two groups were statistically significant（P<0.05），and evaluated the effects.4Matters needing attention: During the treatment, all the patients shouldavoid eating stimulate food tartly, eat more fresh fruit and vegetables, keeptheir mind at ease, assure adequate sleep, do appropriate exercise, and develophealthy living habits.Results:In the process of this research, there were61cases in statistical analysisat last after excluding,30cases in treatment group and31cases in controlgroup. After four-week’s treatment, recorded the changes of the indexes ofpatients before and after treatments for two weeks and four weeksrespectively.1Comparison of curative effects: After treatment, out of30cases in thetreatment group,16cases had been cured,10cases had been significantlyeffective,3cases had been effective, and1case had been ineffective, theeffective rate is96.67%; while out of31cases in the control group,6caseshad been cured,11cases had been significantly effective,8cases had beeneffective, and6cases had been ineffective, the effective rate is80.60%.Through the statistical software analysis, the diffrence between the two groupshad statistical significance (P<0.01), showing that the effective rate of the twotherapy which treat on postherpetic neuralgia were unequal, treatment groupwas superior to control group, and about treating on postherpetic neuralgia,method of promoting Qi activating blood, dredging the collaterals to stop paincombined with acupuncture was superior to control group.2Comparison of pain degree score: After two-week’s treatment, mean ofpain degree score in treatment group and control group was19.05and21.25respectively, scores of treatment group were lower than before and controlgroup’s. Through the statistical software analysis, the diffrence between thetwo groups had statistical significance (P<0.05), which indicated that treatment group, compared to control group, can relief the pain degree ofpatients. Whlie after four-week’s treatment, mean of pain degree score intreatment group and control group was4.59and9.00respectively, pain degreescore of the two groups had lower than before and treatment group’s waslower than control group’s. Through the statistical software analysis, the twogroups had extremely significant diffrence (P<0.01), which indicated that themethod of promoting Qi activating blood, dredging the collaterals to stop paincombined with acupuncture can relief the pain degree of patients obviouslyand four-week’s treatment had more obvious effect.3Comparison of sleep quality score: After the two-week’s andfour-week’s treatment, mean of sleep quality score in treatment group was8.01and5.43respectively, while in the control group was8.42and7.71,scores of treatment group were obviously lower than before and controlgroup’s. Comparing the two groups, P<0.05after two weeks and P<0.01afterfour weeks, the diffrence between the two groups had statistical significance,treatment group was superior to control group, which indicated that themethod of promoting Qi activating blood, dredging the collaterals to stop paincombined with acupuncture can improve the sleep quality of patients muchbetter and four-week’s treatment had more obvious effect.4Comparison of the ability of work or housekeeping work score: Aftertreatment, mean of the ability of work or housekeeping work score intreatment group was1.40and2.03respectively, while in control group was1.06and1.77respectively, scores of treatment group were higher than beforeand control group’s. Comparing the two groups, P<0.05after two weeks andP<0.01after four weeks, treatment group was superior to control group, whichshowed that the method of promoting Qi activating blood, dredging thecollaterals to stop pain combined with acupuncture can improve the quality ofpatient’s life and four-week’s treatment had more obvious effect.Conclusion: the method of promoting Qi activating blood, dredging thecollaterals to stop pain combined with acupuncture has good effect on treatingpostherpetic neuralgia, and its clinical curative effect is obviously superior to the western medicine. It can obviously reduce the pain degree, improve thesleeping quality and the ability of work or housekeeping work, and enhancethe quality of their life. |
