Clinical Study On TCM Syndrome Elements Distribution Features And Liability Factors Of Bronchial Asthma

Objective:In order to explore liability factors of susceptible individuals to the bronchial asthma cases, the distribution characteristics of syndrome elements are analized. It is helpful for differentiating susceptible population and guarding against disease.Methods:Under the guidance of TCM theory, the four diagnostic information of the patients at the age of3-60years old could be collected on the spot with the four diagnostic tables, and then use syndrome elements differentiation method to count syndrome elements score, with the aid of computer data integration and data mining technology, the use descriptive statistics method, the related Person and Logistic regression and other statistical methods to analyze the distribution characteristics of syndrome elements and inner liability factors of asthma.Results:1. The distribution of common syndrome elements distribution of the disease:lung, exterior, liver and spleen are four location syndrome elements in children asthma. The syndrome elements of disease nature are as the following nine common syndrome elements:phlegm, qi deficiency, Yang deficiency, cold, heat, Yin deficiency, outside wind and fluid-retention as nine common syndrome factor; non-children asthma is primary for lung, exterior, liver, kidney, spleen, heart-spirit and stomach as seven common disease location syndrome elements. Syndrome elements of disease nature are as the following common syndrome elements: phlegm, Yin deficiency, Yang deficiency, qi deficiency, dampness, heat, cold, qi stagnation, blood deficiency, dryness, fluid-retention and outside wind as common syndrome elements.2. The proportion of gender in two groups:the male and female ratio in children asthma are70.27%and29.73%respectively. The proportion is33.47%and66.53%in non-children asthma.3.The relation between gender and syndrome elements:There is statistical difference in spleen of disease location syndrome elements between boys and girls(P<0.05),and the spleen for boys is more characteristic than for girls; On the syndrome elements of disease nature, there is no statistical difference (P>0.05).Gender is of no difference for disease location syndrome elements among non-children asthma(P>0.05),as far as disease nature syndrome elements concerned, Yang deficiency and blood deficiency have statistical difference (P<0.05), especially for female asthma, which have characteristic meanings. 4. Analysis non-childhood asthma and children asthma by Logistic regression analysis: phlegm is a liability factor for non-children asthma (P<0.05,OR=Exp(B)>1); heat, wind, fluid-retention, qi deficiency are liability factor for children asthma (P<O.05, OR=Exp(B)<1). Total accuracy of forecast can reach up to86.7%.5. Comparing syndrome elements among the non-children who have asthma history and who does not at their childhood via the Person chi-square, the result shows that there is no statistical difference (P>0.05).Conclusion:1. Lungs, exterior, phlegm, qi deficiency, Yang deficiency, cold, heat, Yin deficiency, outside wind are primary and common for Children asthma, and for The non-children asthma syndrome elements Jungs, exterior, phlegm, Yin deficiency and Yang deficiency, qi deficiency, dampness, heat, cold, and Qi depression are primary and common.2. Boys’incidence of asthma is higher than girls. Women’s incidence of asthma is higher than men in non-children asthma. The reason may relate to the physiological characteristics of different ages.3. Gender affect syndrome elements distribution of bronchial asthma, The main location syndrome elements of the boy asthma is spleen, relating to that the spleen deficiency cannot nourish lung, besides, pediatric lung and exterior are relatively weak, susceptible to suffer six pathogenic factors; Yang deficiency and blood deficiency are main syndrome element of the female asthma, which may be related to "liver is congenital for woman","Yang is primary for Male, however, yin is more than yang among female asthma".4. Phlegm is the liability factor of traditional Chinese medicine among non-children asthma; Qi deficiency, heat, outside wind, fluid-retention are children asthma liability factors of TCM.
