Constitution Research On Children With Allergic Rhinitis

Objective We start from constitution of TCM, investigations on the type and distribution of TCM constitution of3-14year-old children with allergic rhinitis are made through illness history, four diagnostic and questionnaires, generalizing syndromes and establishing clinics principles so as to provide guidance to improving the clinical efficacy and instructing dos and don’ts of nursing.Methods Design a survey registration form, the tutor and investigator learn about daily characteristics of patients by inquiring about illness history of the children who are in conformity with the standards, and also by traditional Chinese medical means of watching the situation of patients’body, lisentening the sound of patients, asking the patients for their body’s situation and feeling the pulse of patients. The questionnaire should be completed by the investigator, patients and parents together so that physical type and the syndromes of the sick child could be analyzed according to the data.Results①Among the100inquired sick children,73have family history of allergic diseases and27do no have.②There are7childrens belong to balanced constituted,91childrens belong to the constitution of qi deficiency, among the qi deficiency,there are66childrens belong to qi deficiency and cold,9childrens belong to qi deficiency and hot,18childrens belong to qi deficiency and damp.③The syndrome types are deficiency and cold of lung qi, deficiency of lung-spleen qi,kedney-yang asthenia,lung channel accumulate hot,they are57cases,32cases,2cases and9cases.④57children have deficiency and cold of lung qi, including51children belong to qi deficiency and cold,1child belong to qi deficiency and damp,5children belong to balanced constituted.32children are deficient in lung and spleen, including12children belong to qi deficiency and cold,18children belongs to qi deficiency and damp and2children belong to balanced constituted.9children have lung channel accumulate hot, in which8children are belong to qi deficiency and hot and1child is balanced constituted. And2children are kedney-yang asthenia, all belong to qi deficiency and cold.Conclusion Constitution Research on Children is different from adult,we think that Children with Allergic Rhinitis can be divided into balanced constituted and the constitution of qi deficiency,among the qi deficiency,there are qi deficiency and cold,qi deficiency and hot,qi deficiency and damp. Clinical3-14years old children with allergic rhinitis are mostly deficiency of qi, and a large number of them are with qi deficiency and cold, so children with allergic rhinitis should be treated with Jianpiyiqi and Wenzhonggubiao principal. The most common syndrome of children with allergic rhinitis is deficiency and cold of lung qi, followed by lung and spleen deficiency, as well as lung channel accumulate hot and kedney-yang asthenia. Patients with imbalanced constitutions are more likely to suffer from related diseases, generalizing syndromes and establishing clinics principles so as to provide guidance to improving the clinical efficacy.
