Objective To observe the clinical effect of Yu Shi Xiao Bi Yin (YSXBI) deco ction in the treatment of psoriasis vulgaris on blood stasis syndrome. And recurrence after3months.Methods90patients of psoriasis vulgaris with TCM differentiation types(Blood Stasis) were divided into three groups at random, including53male patients and37female patients. The first group of30patients was treated by YSXBI twice a day, t he second group of30patients was treated with Compound Glycyrrhizin Table (produc ed by Japan mino originating pharmaceutical co., LTD)50mg Tid. And the third grou p of30patients were treated with YSXBI and Compound Glycyrrhizin Table. All of t he patients were treated topically by Calcipotriol Cream(Daivonex, The Irish Leo phar maceutical co., LTD) or Calcipotriol Scalp Solution(Leo Phrmceuticl Products). Treatm ent was continued for8weeks.Results The rate of visible effects on the third group was86.7%, higher than th e first group whose effective rate was only73.3%and the second group whose effecti ve rate was only70.0%.The recurrence rate of the third group is slightly lower than t he first group and significantly lower than the second group. The rate of visible effect s on the first group and the second group has no significant difference. The recurrenc e rate of the first group is lower than second group.Conclusion YSXBI has remarkable curative effect to psoriasis vulgaris of blood stasis syndrome.The curative effect of combination of Chinese and western medicine group is superior to the traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine group.And the recurrence rate was significantly lower than that of simple western medicine treatment.
