ObjectiveThrough the establishment of rats diabetes fracture model, to explore theeffect of resveratrol on diabetic rats sugar metabolism, calcium and phosphorusmetabolism and biochemical indexes, and the influence of BMP-2and OPG inthe fracture healing process.MethodsDivided male SD rats random into control group (group A), diabetesfracture model group (B1group), NaF intervention group (B2group) andResveratrol treatment group (B3group). The group B1, B2, B3rats were doneinto diabetic model by injected STZ, then made rats into fracture model.Campeachy-eosin (HE) staining and observed fracture organization.Eightweeks later, take blood, calcium sample specimen,measured blood calcium,phosphorus. In the second week, the fourth week and the eighth week makeimmunohistochemistry and Western blot method to detect the rat tibial BMP-2and OPG expression.ResultsCompared with group A, the blood sugar were higher in diabetic rats, bloodcalcium and blood phosphorus reduced, bone density reduced, the expression of BMP-2and OPG in bone tissue was reduced, existing statistically significantdifference (p<0.05). Pathology change sees that bone trabecular formation rateof group B2and group B3is faster than group B1. There was no significantreduction in each index group B2and group B3(p>0.05). Immunohistochemicalshows, group B2and group B3in BMP-2and OPG expression was enhanced,compared with group B1significantly difference (p<0.05).ConclusionsThe diabetic rats suffered a fracture, bone density, blood calcium and bloodphosphorus were reduced, BMP-2and OPG were reduced in local callustissues, which maybe cause diabetic rats fracture healing is poor in quality.Resveratrol can make the diabetes fracture rats’s blood sugar reduced, bloodcalcium and blood phosphorus increased, the expression of BMP-2and OPGincrease, which provide experimental basis for resveratrol applied in thetreatment of diabetes fracture healing.
