The Clinical Sigaificance Of Serum HMW-adiponectin And AdipoR In Patients With Rheumatoid Arthritis

Aims:This study aimed to detect the expression levels of HMW adiponectin in serum and AdipoR1、AdipoR2in peripheral blood mononuclear cells of rheumatiod arthritis patients, and determine their association with the disease activity and the predictor of atherosclerosis in patients with RA.Methods:The study involved43patients with RA, and40normal controls (NC). Carotid intima-media thickness(CIMT) were determined by color doppler ultrasound.Serum HMW adiponectin levels were detected by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).The mRNA levels of AdipoRl and AdipoR2in the peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) were determind by real-time quantitative PCR(RT-qPCR). one-way ANOVA、chi-square test and pearson correleation were adopted for statistical analysis.Results:1. CIMTs were higher in RA patient group than NC group (p <0.01, p<0.05).2.The level of serum HMW adiponectin in RA group was lower compared to the NC group (p<0.01) and positively correlated with DAS28scores (r=0.586p=0.000),but had no association with CIMT (r=-0.066p=0.552).3.1n PBMCs, AdipoR2mRNA was more highly expressed in RA patients compared with NC group (P<0.05),and positively correlated with CIMT(r=0.264p=0.016).4. Both the levels of exprssion of AdipoRl and AdipoR2mRNA had no association with serum HMW adiponectin ((r=-0.004p=0.982; r=-0.059p=0.708).Conclusions:1.Serum HMW adiponectin level is lower,and positively correlated with DAS28scores.2. Level of exprssion of AdipoR2in PBMCs from RA patients is higher compared with NC group and positively correlated with CIMT.
