Objective To investigate the prevalence of anemia in patients with rheumatoid arthritis(RA) and the relationship between anemia and clinical features. Methods Retrospective analysis the date of 318 rheumatoid arthritis patients from August 2012 to December 2013 during the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University. According to the presence of anemia is divided into with anemia and without anemia. Demographic details, disease duration, clinical manifestation, disease activity scores and so on. Were used T test and Chi-square test to compare the above data, the use of no-conditional Logistic regression analysis of risk factors RA anemia damage. Results 1. Estimates of the prevalence of anemia was 64.47%(205/318), mild anemia 66.83%,moderate anemia 29.76%,severe anemia 3.14%.2. There were statistic differences between the patients with anemia and without anemia in blood routine, ESR, CRP, DAS28, serum albumin and prealbumin(P<0.05), and in sex, age, disease duration, leukocyte counts, globulin, immunoglobulin, Complement 3,Complement 4,RF, A-CCP, AKA and degree of X-ray change have no statistic differences(P>0.05).3. Through the unconditioned Logistic regression analysis suggests the moderate and high disease activity score in 28 joints, low serum albumin and low prealbumin are the risk factors for RA with anemia.4. The level of hemoglobin was significantly increased after one month anti-rheumatoid treatment. Conclusion 1. Our hospital estimates of the prevalence of anemia was 64.47%, the level of anemia is mild and moderate.2. There are important associations between anemia and disease activity of rheumatoid arthritis.3. The moderate and high disease activity score in 28 joints, low serum albumin and low prealbumin are the risk factors for RA with anemia.4.The level of hemoglobin is increased after anti-rheumatoid treatment.
