Objective: Incisional hernia is a common complication of most abdomialsurgery. Incisional hernia need for timely treatment, or it’s likely to causegastrointestinal adhesions even strangulation. It’s a trends of the laparoscopic isapplied to treatment of incisional hernia in recent years. This study aimed to explorethe clinical effect of laparoscopic (LIHR) and open incision hernia repair (OIHR) andevaluate the advantages of laparoscopic incisional hernia repair(LIHR) in clinicalapplication. Methods: A total of64cases treated with incisional hernia in the First Hospitalof Dalian Medical University were retrospectively analyzed. Of them,44cases weretreated with open incision hernia repair and20cases were treated with laparoscopicincision hernia repair. Compared the clinical data of the two groups have or not aatatistical significance, such as operative time, blood loss, postoperative hospital stay, recurrence rate, leaky gut, seroma, pain and wound infection. But need to except theinfluence of gender, age, body mass index, hernia site and size. Results: There was no significant difference between the two groups inoperation time, incision infection and sermoa. But LIHR has the ad-vantages of theamount of bleeding during operation, shorten postoperative stay and lessen pains. InLIHR group1case changed to open abdomen because of intestinal leakage indetaching the serious adhesion. There was no death case in two groups. Recurrenceoccurred in3cases and0case in OIHR group and LIHR group respectively duringfollow up period of3months to2years.Conclusions:Two treatment methods are equally safe and effective. The LIHRhave the small incision and avoid incision stable organization, and it has theadvantage of minimal invasive, lessen pains, quick recovery and shorten post-operative stay. Now LIHR has become the ideal surgical of abdominal incisionalhernia repair.
