| Objective:To inquire into the application of the acupotomy and non-surgical methods for the treatment of Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy by reviewing and concluding recent clinical reports for the purpose of objectively evaluating the effectiveness and significance of the acupotomy treatment.Methods:Through a comprehensive investigation of current clinical studies on the application of acupotomy and non-surgical methods for treating Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy in attempts to expatiate the advantages of acupotomy and to propose a new concept and a different approach for further clinical researches.Results:Acupotomy treatment has been proved to have integrated effects of acupuncture stimulation and surgical lysis, which heals soft tissue damages through minimal incision technique and therefore alleviates clinical symptoms of Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy. Comparing to other commonly employed non-surgical methods, acupotomy is a better treatment option for Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy by means of significant efficacy, shorter treating course and a more durable long-term effect.Conclusions:Nowadays, Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy is a common and complicated orthopaedic ailment. Acupotomy is a prospective treatment which is dialectic-oriented and has Easteren and Western medicinal advantages, and is ideal to be opted as the primary treatment of Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy for its prominent therapeutic effects which should be valued and recommended in the clinical application. |
