ObjectiveTo observe the initial neuron-specific enolase (NSE) in patients with acutecerebral infarction early onset (within24hours) the value of the serum,andcalculate the infarct volume of corresponding brain MRI-DWI,To investigate thecorrelation between of the two,The clinical value of the initial evaluation ofserum NSE levels in patients with acute cerebral infarction condition assessmentand prognosis.MethodsBlood of patients with acute cerebral infarction symptoms within24hoursof were collected,Initial serum NSE level was detected by ELISA.Patientswithin3days of onset of the Brain MRI and brain MRI DWI infarct volumecalculated at this time.TOAST classification and evaluation,patients weredivided into a group of large artery disease,cardiogenic cerebral embolismgroup,small vessel disease group,pathogenesis can not determine the group.Atthe same time,the U.S. National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale assessment aweek after the onset of symptoms and admission in patients withscore.Calculated admission in patients with initial serum neuron-specificenolase levels and brain MRI-DWI sequence infarct volume (Spearman) rankcorrelation coefficient R,observe whether there is a correlation between the two.Results1. A group of patients the initial serum NSE level was significantly higher(P <0.001),the difference was statistically significant.2. The initial serum NSE levels and brain MRI DWI calculated infarct volume was highly correlated (R=0.736, P <0.001).3. the initial serum NSE levels just admission NIHSS score was highlycorrelated (R=0.725, P <0.001), and1week after the onset of NIHSS score washighly correlated (R=0.785, P <0.001).ConclusionNSE as quantitative biochemical markers of neuronal damage,its level cannot only reflect the severity of the brain tissue of stroke and neurological deficit,but also serve as an important indicator of the condition monitoring andevaluating the prognosis of patients with acute cerebral infarction.
