Objective:The purpose of this study is to review in2005August to2010December during the application of LARS artificial ligament in anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction with patients, compared with autologous hamstring tendon (HT) reconstruction of anterior cruciate ligament were as control group, to explore the operation technique and the clinical efficacy evaluation. Methods:A total of45patients received follow-up, the ligament of LARS group of25cases,20cases with autologous HT groups, mainly young men (male36cases, female9cases), with an average age of27.1years (group LARS,28.6±4.5years old, autologous tendon group25.8±5.2years). The function of knee joint biomechanics evaluation of Lysholm, IKDC, Tegner of knee joint score standard, clinical and objective examination of knee joint stability. All patients preoperative physical examination and MRI indicated that the anterior cruciate ligament, excluding fractures around the knee operation, fully completed in the arthroscopic technique design, isometric tibial and femoral bone, with a diameter of7mmLARS artificial ligament, using special interface screw fixation. Results:The two groups no case of postoperative infection, knee synovitis and ligament spontaneous rupture. Some patients with MRI showed the reconstructed ligamenthealing well, natural form, no inflammatory reaction. The two groups before and after surgery, the results by rank sum test shows:the preoperative Lysholm score, Tegner score and IKDC score were no significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05); after12months, the Lysholm score and IKDC score of the ligament of LARS group was better than that of autologous HT group (P<0.05), surgery after18months and after the follow-up results of no statistical significance (P>0.05); after6months, Tegner score of the ligament of LARS group was significantly better than that of autologous HT group (P<0.05),12months after operation and follow-up results of two groups had no significant difference (P>0.05),paired test of using Lysholm score before and after operation (P<0.05), respectively. The ligament of LARS artificial ligament group-the excellent rate was92%, the excellent rate of89.6%in autologous tendon group. Conclusion:Compared with the application of LARS artificial ligament in anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction with autologous HT, After6months, Tegner score in the LARSartifical ligament group was better than that of autologous HT group, after12months, the Lysholm score and IKDC score of the ligament of LARS group was better than that of autologous HT group, the recovery time of ligament of LARS group patients after operation the knee stability and function, can be recovered early effective; After18months operation and follow-up results showed no statistical significance, show that the two methods had no significant difference in the recovery of joint function, clinical effects of mid-term no statistical significance.Arthroscopic reconstruction with LARS artificial ligamentin anterior cruciate ligament of knee joint trauma, quick recovery, good curative effect, subjective and objective findings shows that the LARS artificial ligament is an effective alternative for graft cruciate ligament rupture before treatment.
