Objective: To observe the clinical effects of Manipulation combined with ear-apexbloodletting in treating exopathogenic fever of wind-heat type in children, in order toprovide a safe, effective and normative therapy.Methods:90children were selected with standard diagnostic code, exclusion rule andinclusion rule. A total of90cases with wind-heat type exopathogenic fever were allocatedinto Manipulation with ear-apex bloodletting group (30cases), Manipulation group (30cases) and Ear-apex bloodletting group (30cases) using random number table.①Manipulation group: using manipulation therapy(pushing Tianmen and Kangong, kneading Taiyang(EX-HN5) and Erhougaogu, clearing Feijing, kneading Xiaotianxin, clearing Tianheshui, reducing Liufu). The total treating time was10minutes, treated everychild one time every12hours. Every3times were a course of treatment.②Bloodlettinggroup: using bloodletting treatment in ears-apex. Treated every child once every12hours.Every3times were a course of treatment.③Combined group: Treatment, course oftreatment were the same to Manipulation group and Bloodletting group. After a course oftreatment, to observe the changes of clinical effects, symptoms and signs and lymphocytecount between before treatment and after treatment.Results:①Comparation of safty and compliance: there was no untoward reaction duringthe course of treatment. That was to say, these three groups had High Safety Level andCompliance, they were worthy of clinical application.②Comparation of effectiveness: thecure rate, total effective rate of Combined group, Manipulation group, Bloodletting groupwere76.67﹪,46.67﹪,50.00﹪and96.67﹪,90.00﹪,93.33﹪.Trough the order-arranging test, the clinical effects of Combined group were superior to other two groups(P<0.05).Combined group had the common dominance of Manipulation group andBloodletting group, so it can improve the clinical cure rate and shorten the length of thedisease.③Comparation of D-value in clinical symptoms and signs scores: the scores ofCombined group was different from the other two groups. The improvements of Combinedgroup was superior to other two groups, such as the recovery time of temperature, therelief time of main symptoms(P<0.05).④Comparation of D-value of temperature:Antifebrile effect of Combined group was superior to other two groups.During the sametime frame, the range of abatement of fever was larger and the length of disease wasshorter. Conclusions: Manipulation combined with ear-apex bloodletting was a very safe andeffective therapeutic approach for children with exopathogenic fever of wind-heat type. Itwas worthy of promotion and application for the future.
