Objective:To investigate the demand and willingness of the long-term care in elderly patients with chronic diseases, analyzed of the influential factors affecting the long-term care willingness, then discussed how to provide the services according to their needs. In order to provide a reference for the development of our country’s future long-term care service industry.Methods:540elderly with chronic diseases had been selected from one nursing home、a hospital and some families in bengbu. The research instruments included Activities of Daily Living Scale、Social Science Research Solutions、the Geriatric Depression Scale、Long-term care willing survey and Socio-demographic characteristics of respondents. Statistic analysis methods included statistic description、chi-square test、 analysis of variance and logical regression analysis, conducted by SPSS17.0.Results:1.59.7%respondents choose home to accept long-term care, the proportion is the highest。 The elderly patients with chronic diseases with difference of age, marital status, educational level, living conditions, medical security, the average monthly income, religious belief, whether suffering from cerebrovascular disease, ADL damage degree and the social support, who choose long-term care places have statistical significance(P<0.05).2. Long-term care service:the highest demand rate of home care services is medical care and body care. The highest demand rate of community health centers service is regularly check and home visit. The highest demand rate of long-term care institutions is life support, medical care, emergency rescue, rehabilitation and health education.3. Long-term care caregivers:44.2%respondents choose family members to take care of, the proportion is the highest. The elderly patients with chronic diseases with difference of age, marital status, living conditions, medical security, the average monthly income, ADL damage degree and the social support, who choose long-term caregivers have statistical significance(P<0.05).4.78.3%respondents think we should set up long-term care insurance.5. The proportion of the respondents who hope to have volunteers provide service for them is73.4%.6. respondents ’satisfaction with community health services was22.9%,80.7%respondents think the reason why not satisfied was service category less.Conclusion:1.The proportion of the elderly patients with chronic diseases who choose home to accept long-term care is the highest。2.Long-term care service:the highest demand rate of home care services is medical care and body care. The highest demand rate of long-term care institutions is life support, medical care, emergency rescue, rehabilitation and health education.3.The proportion of the elderly patients with chronic diseases who choose family members to take care of is the highest。4. High demand of long-term care insurance and volunteer service.5.Lower satisfaction with the community, the main reasons for dissatisfaction was service category less.
