Objective:The “XueTangKe” decoction was screened from Qinling Taibai mountainSpecialty Forest durg, In order to evaluate the pharmacodynamic effect of “XueTangKe”decoction On the basis of the model we study the Hpyerglycemic effect of “XueTangKe”decoction in hyperglycemia model mice, and test the “XueTangKe” decoctionstability. Methods:hyperglycemic model mice were prepared by intraperitoneal injection withalloxan(200mg·kg-1) every other day. The hyperglycemic model mice were randomlydivided into model group, positive drug-metformin group and the high, medium and low dose"XueTangKe" decoction group, continuously administrated for28d, and the effects of bloodglucose level, glucose tolerance and body weight in hyperglycemic model mice as well asnormal mice were observed. Result:"XueTangKe" decoction can significantly reduce theblood glucose level, and improve glucose tolerance in model mice in a dose-dependentrelationship. Moreover,"XueTangKe" decoction had no significant effect on body weight inmodel mice, and also had no significant on blood glucose level in normal mice. Acutetoxicology test results confirm that "XueTangKe" formula is safe and non-toxic, in clinicaldoses generally does not cause side effects. Conclusion:"XueTangKe" decoction has a bettertherapeutic effect for hyperglycemic mice, safe and non-toxic side effects to the target nimals.
