Objective: To observe the effects of Xiaokeping Jiaonang in treating thehyperglycaemia Jimpy mice which was caused by adrenaline and the rabbit of diabetesmellitus which was caused by alloxan; to explore the mechanism in blood rheologyand Ang of biochemistry etc.Methods:(1) 48 Jimpy mice were divided randomly into 6 groups, 8 mouse per group(with male and female half and half in each group). They are the normal group thatdidn't treated, model group, control group which was fed with Xiaokewan, and threetreating groups(high dose, middle dose, and low dose),which were fed withXiaokeping. After 7 days, the normal group were injected into the normal saline byperitoneal injection, while others were injected adrenaline(AD). Collecting blood fromorbital vein, fresh Liver tissue after 30 minute and detecting the contents of the bloodglucose and hephormone.(2)6 were drew randomly from 40 rabbits and taken as the nomal controlgroup(A). The others were injected into alloxan by the vein of ear. The rabbit modelof diabetes mellitus was divided into 5 groups, 6 rabbit per group. They are the modelgroup that didn't treated(B),, control group which were fed with Xiaokewan(C), andthree treating groups [high dose(D), middle dose(E), and low dose(F)] ,which werefed with Xiaokeping. The content of the blood glucose was detected by collectingblood from the vein of ear per week. After 28 days, collecting blood from heart anddetecting the content of the blood glucose, the whole blood viscosity in high and lowshear rate, hematocrit, plasma viscosity, fibrinogen, red cell deformability(RCD);malonyldialdehyde(DMA), activity of super-oxide dismutase(SOD), totalcholesterol(T-CHO), triglyceride(TG), high-density lipoprotein(HDL-C), low density lipoprotein(LDL-C), serum insulin(PGI).Conclusion:. Xiaokeping Jiaonang could decrease content of the blood glucose(p<0.01), DMA(p<0.01), LDL-C(p<0.01),T-CHO(p<0.01),TG(P<0.01), the whole bloodviscosity in high(p<0.01) and low shear rate(p<0.01), hematocrit(p<0.01), plasmaviscosity(p<0.01), fibrinogen(p<0.01); increase hephormone content (p<0.01), redcell deformability(p<0.01), activity of superoxide dismutase(SOD)(p<0.01, p<0.05), HDL-C(p<0.01, p<0.05) and serum insulin(p<0.01).Results: It is showed that Xiaokeping Jiaonang is a effective prescription in treatingdiabetes mellitus(DM) by the experiment. The prescription could be anti-hyperglycaemia which is caused by adrenaline and increase the content ofhephormone of Jimpy mice, and has positive curative effect in treating rabbit ofDiabetes mellitus which is caused by alloxan by improving blood rheology and Angof biochemistry etc.
