Objective: To investigate the oral health-related quality of life(OHQOL) in patientswith oral lichen planu(sOLP)using the Chinese version of the oral health impact profile(OHIP-14).And research on the relationship between OLP patients with lesion size,thedegree of pain,mental health status and oral health related quality of life, in order toprovide the theoretical basis for the pathogenesis and treatment of oral lichen planus.Inorder to provide the theoretical basis for the pathogenesis and treatment of oral lichenplanus.Methods:The100patients with OLP and100normal people of non OLP came from theDepartment of Stomatology of the First Affiliated Hospitalof Dalian Medical University,they were included and completed the questionnaire of oral health scale (OHIP-14Chinese version),Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS),subsequently the REU scoring system was utilized to record the lesion size anda visual analogue scale(VAS)to describe the degree of pain. The date was analyzed bySPSS17.0software.Results:1.100cases of OLP patients,male33and female67accounted for33%,67%,male: female was1:2, more women than man. The patient age is the smallest19yearsold, the biggest76years old, mean age (51.1±13.9) years old, mainly concentrated in40to60years.2.The median OHIP-14score of100OLP patients was22.00,Significantlyhigher than those in the control group, the median was10.00. there were significantdifferences in Wilcoxon rank sum test (P<0.05), OLP patients were significantlysuffered in the domain of functional limitation, physical pain, physiological disorder,mental disorder and social disorder.3.The oral health status of OLP patients is worse, anxiety and depressionsymptoms of more serious, VAS score, REU score is higher,too.The correlationcoefficient among VAS score, REU score, anxiety, depression and oral health relatedquality of life are respectively:rs=0.461,rs=00.366, rs=0.502, rs=0.480, the total scoreof OHIP-14scale for OLP patients and VAS score,REU score,annxiety and depressionhave correlation (P<0.01).Conclusion:1.OLP directly or indirectly affect the oral health status of thepatients,psychological analysis can indicate whether patients have psychological barrier,and provide help for clinical treatment.2.The OLP and VAS score,REUscore,anxiety and depression havecorrelation.OLP patients with anxiety, depression and oral health related quality of lifewere positively related. Therefore, OLP patients should by conventional treatment andpsychological treatment, in order to ease the patient’s pressure.
