Objective: To explore the clinical curative effect of the treatment of ComminutedCalcaneal Fractures with Locking Calcaneal Plate. Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the78patients (85feet) with theComminuted Calcaneal Fractures who were treated with locking calcaneal plate andwere followed up from January2008to December2012in our hospital. Including54male and24female, ranging in age from19to63years old, average38.8years old,;unilateral71cases, both sides7cases. According to the Sanders classification: type II35patients (36feet), type III27cases (30feet), type IV in16cases (19feet); causes ofinjury: high falling in47cases, traffic accident in20cases,other hurt in11cases.Postoperative according to Maryland Foot efficacy evaluation Score, and recorded theclinical data that was collected by preoperative and postoperative1week and3monthspostoperative X-ray lateral and axial slice, analysis calcaneal height, width, length,Bobhler ’s Angle, Gissane’ s Angle of the measured value of the change. Results: All of the78cases were followed up, from6months to19months, withan average of12months. X-ray showed internal fixation is fixed firmly, and that allpatients in8to12weeks achieved bone union, with an average of10weeks.6cases of78were incision infection, local solutions, incision in the skin necrosis, accounting for7.7%. According to the Maryland Foot scoring criteria evaluation Scoresurgical curative effect, Sanders II type97.14%, III type85.19%, IV fracture68.75%;Overall fine rate87.18%; and the chi-square analysis, the curative effect of II, III typewas better than that of type IV. In the preoperative and postoperative measured data, bystatistical analysis (paired t test), Bohler ’s P=0.046, Gissane’ s P=0.033, height P=0.017,length,P=0.029, width, P=0.037.There were significant differences betweenpreoperative and postoperative(P<0.05); And postoperative1week and3with nostatistical significance (P>0.05). Conclusion: Sanders II, III with locking plate had good clinical efficacy, type IVeffect in general; Postoperative Bohler’s Angle, Gissane’s Angle, heel height, width, length, were retorted, and the forward Angle is presented, according to low. Lockingplate with plasticity and strong stability can effectively support collapse shattered of thejoint surface, which was a reasonable calcaneal fractures inside the holder, and the idealmethod for the treatment of calcaneal comminuted fracture.
