The treatment group (n=33) was treated by soothing liver and descending Qi (selected Sini San and Suzi Jiangqi Tang added and subtracted), the control group (n=30) was cured by Lactulose. Period of treatment was1month. In each group, The constipation symptoms score, the accompanying symptoms score and the other PAC-QOL score were assessed before and after the treatment. The results were analyzed by SPSS17.0, compare within the group and between groups, to evaluate the curative effect of drugs. Results:The primary outcome (defecation frequency):The actual number of casess whose defecation frequency per week was up to1or2days per time after1month, treatment group reached27cases, added25cases; control group reached23cases, added21cases. Comparison between the two groups have no statistical significance (P>0.05). The secondary outcome indicators:①Constipation symptoms assessment:The treatment group both in reducing the degree of defecation difficulty and the abdominal distension were significantly better than that of control group (P<0.01). But the two groups in shorting defecation time, improving stool character, and reducing the endless fall bilge feeling have no statistical significance (P>0.05). In the clinical curative effect evaluation of constipation symptoms, the treatment group was better than the control group (P<0.05).②Accompanying symptoms assessment:The treatment group in alleviating the fullness in the stomach, abdominal pain, hiccups, belching, poor appetites, irritability or depression, and quality of sleep were better than the control group (P<0.05).
