| Objective:Ovulate the efficiency of Combination of Drugs and Acupuncture Treatment with Infertile Patients with Ovulation Failure in Deficiency of Spleen and Kidney-Yang and evaluate the effectiveness of this treatment.Methods:40infertile patients with ovulation failure which were deficient in spleen and kidney-yang, were divided into two groups by random:traditional Chinese medicine group (20patients) and traditional Chinese medicine+acupuncture group (20patients). Both the two groups were treated by three menstrual cycles. The serum sex hormone level was measured when the follicles matured, as well as the number of dominant follicles,small follicles and the symptoms improvement before and after treatment. The thickness of endometrium was measured on day of ovulation. Compare the rate of ovulation, pregnancy, occurrence of luteinized unruptured follicle (LUF), and tendency of ovarian hyper-stimulation syndrome (OHSS) within the two groups.Results:Compared with the traditional Chinese medicine group, the endometrial thickness of the traditional Chinese medicine+acupuncture group was showed higher on the day of day of ovulation(P<0.01).Serum LH level of the traditional Chinese medicine+acupuncture group was higher than the other group when the follicles matured(P<0.01), while there is no significant difference between E2and FSH level. Rate of ovulation was presented higher (P<0.05) while occurrence of LUF was presented lower in the traditional Chinese medicine+acupuncture group. There is no significant difference of the rate of pregnancy and single dominant follicle cycle between two groups. Both the two treatment methods can improve the symptoms well.Conclusion:The method of combination of acupuncture and drugs can promote the growth of follicles and the ovulation better. The mechanism might due to the increased LH level improve the follicle quality and the ovulation. It can also increase endometrial thickness on the day of ovulation to improve endometrial receptivity. |
