Birth Defects (BD) also known as Congenital Anomalies (CA), refers to theexternal or internal abnormal structure or function in the process of embryonicdevelopment. Birth defects (BD) involving part or the whole body system, cancause mild disability or severe damage, so it has a severe influence on the physicaland mental health of the children.Ultrasound can detect most of the fetal abnormalities. But because of maternaldifference, fetal position, precision of instruments, ultrasound doctor’s technicallevel and other factors, there are some defects which are hard to check out, so thephenomenon of misdiagnosis still exists. Analysis of birth defects monitoring resultsand explorations of related factors influencing the diagnosis can provide preventionfor birth defects in the direction, method, can effectively reduce the rate of misseddiagnosis.PurposeBy understanding the urban counties occurred in Changchun City, thedevelopment trend of2008~2012Ultrasound diagnosis of birth defects,analyze theimpact of screening ultrasound diagnosis rate of birth defects related factors,toprovide a reference for improving diagnostic accuracy of ultrasound screening forbirth defects.MethodsIn view of10national birth defects monitoring hospitals and43provincialhospitals, do the research on the"registration card" defects from2008to2012.Complete the data entry by Excel software and complete the analysis by SPSS10.0. Make a statistical description and discussion on ultrasonic diagnosis of birthdefect types and related influence factors.Results2008-2012perinatal growth in the number of54,502to73,044, the number ofbirth defects in children increased from623to1059, ultrasound screening for birthdefects in children diagnosis rate rose to51.18%43.34%; different gestation inpregnant women prenatal ultrasound screening, where the number of12to17weeksof birth defects in children of98, ultrasound screening diagnosis rate was94.90%; 18to24weeks the number of birth defects in children of578, ultrasound screeningdiagnosis was95.67%;25to28weeks the number of birth defects in children of491, ultrasound screening diagnosis rate was94.50%;29to36weeks the number ofbirth defects in children of799, ultrasound screening diagnosis rate was71.59%;greater than36weeks the number of birth defects in children of2007, ultrasoundscreening diagnosis was9.47%; in for2008to2012in Changchun urban countiesultrasound screening for birth defects types were analyzed and found anencephaly,congenital hydrocephalus, spina bifida, encephalocele, gastroschisis ultrasounddiagnosis of the top five types of birth defects easily diagnosed; while the other eardeformities, small ears (including without ears), multi-finger (toe), and means(toe), cleft palate is the top five types of ultrasound diagnosis easily missed;maternity hospitals under the administrative region where the rural and urban divide,defective children in3973, the town of ultrasound screening for birth defectsdiagnosis was45.56%, rural ultrasound screening diagnosis rate of birth defects to53.12%; monitoring levels will be monitored by the hospital division, the diagnosticultrasound screening provincial hospital birth defects monitoring compliance rate was49.98%, diagnostic ultrasound screening national hospital birth defects monitoringcompliance rate was46.61%.Conclusion(1)2008to2012in Changchun urban counties Ultrasound diagnosis of birthdefects before28weeks of gestation have a high diagnostic accuracy, is the best timeultrasound diagnosis of partial birth defect types.(2)2008-2012Changchun urban counties by year growth in the number of birthdefects in children is rising, diagnostic ultrasound screening rate of birth defects isrising.(3)2008-2012Changchun urban counties ultrasound screening the top five typesof birth defects, including anencephaly, congenital hydrocephalus, spina bifida,encephalocele, gastroschisis.(4) Prior to the2008to2012Changchun urban counties ultrasound screening forbirth defects missed five other malformations including ear, small ears (includingwithout ears), multi-finger (toe), and means (toe), cleft palate.(5)2008~2012Changchun urban counties ultrasound screening birth defects, rural and urban, national and provincial hospitals to monitor hospital ultrasoundscreening surveillance of birth defects diagnosis rate differences.
