Objective:To evaluate the safety and efficacy of electroacupuncture in the treatmentof cervical spondylosis.Method:To search strategy into the standard method of making the original literature, relevant search in Cochrane library, PubMed, CNKI, the search ended in December,2011.Randomized controlled trials will be sellected and the main method aboutelectro-acupuncture for treatment of cervical spondylosis will be analysed, according to therequirement of Cochrane System Evaluation Handbook4.2.2to extract data and check thecontent, RCT is studied by using the software of RevMan5.1in the electroacupuncturetreatment method and other methods for the treatment of cervical spondylosis by Metaanalysis. Applying random or fixed effects model to deal with efficacy and safety of theodds ratio (OR) index about treatment of cervical spondylosis of electroacupuncture andcomparison of therapeutic effects of different acupoint prescription number. Results:A total of1093literatures met the inclusion criteria,23articles, of which22randomized study of Chinese,1randomized studies English, literature quality evaluationof4grade B,19as grade C. About the short tearm treatment of cervical spondylosis curerate and effective rate, the Meta analysis results showed that electroacupuncture treatmentgroup was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05). Pure electroacupuncture inprescription with up to3point prescription and1points prescription is better than otherprescription(P<0.05). But the quality of literature of clinical trials is low and the numberof literature is limited. Conclusion: Electric acupuncture treatment of cervical spondylosis has certainadvantages. We should carry forward well curative therapy. It is necessary that require theuse of scientific research methods and strict design high quality randomized controlledtrials to further verify the above conclusions.
