Objective:.DtheDiabetic Peripheral Neuropathy of diabetes mellitus, At present, with a view that hyperuricemia is a risk factor of type2diabetes and prone to developtype2diabetes. alsorelationshipbetweenand we assessed serum uric acid (SUA)levels in patients with type2diabetes mellitus (T2DM) with or without peripheralneuropathy to explore the relation that level of serum uric acid(SUA)and diabeticperipheral neuropathy(DPN).Methods:91at Endocrinology Department of The First Affiliated Hospital OfGuangdong Pharmaceutical University Height, weight were measured to calculateBody Mass Index(BMI)and blood pressure was measured;serum uric acid, plasmaglucose, connecting pepfide, glycosylated hemoglobinAl c(HbAlc),blood lipids,Urinary Albumin Excretion Rates (UAER) and Serum creatinine were measured;Electromyography(EMG)and clinical symptoms were used as diagnostic criteria todetermine the presence of DPN.Research objects were divided into two groups bywith or without DPN,DPN group(46cases)and Non-DPN group(45cases).wedetected and compared the uric acid and clinical indicators in two groups.Results:1.Between the two groups, age, gender composition, body mass index were nosignificant differences (p>0.05). Creatinine, glycated hemoglobin, fasting glucose, postprandial blood glucose are not significant different (p>0.05). Course differencesbetween the two groups is statistically significant (p<0.05). TG, TC average level ofDPN group is higher than of NDPN group, the difference is statistically significant (p <0.05); HDL-C, DLDL and LDL is not significant different. CP0h of DPN group islower than of NDPN group, the difference is statistically significant; CP2h of DPNgroup is less than of NDPN group, but the difference is not statistically significant.Urinary albumin excretion rate of DPN is higher than of NDPN group, the differenceis statistically significant.2. is ((368.76±83.24) vs (312.29±58.62), p <0.05).3. Prevalence rate of HUA in T2DM patients with DPN was significantly higher thanthat of NDPN(p <0.05).4.Multi-factor logistic stepwise regression analysis show that serum uric acid isassociated with DPN (p <0.05).5.Uric acid is related to TG, TC in DPN group, while others are not. In NDPN group, serum uric acid and lipid parameters had no significant correlation. Conclusions: Serum uric acid was related with DPN,andserum uric acid was independent risk factor for DPN.Serum uric acid can be used asa reference to peripheral neuropathy treatment.
