Objectives:Sudden deafness with vertigo is a clinical common disease, has seriously influenced people’s normal work and life, and to give patients bring considerable mental, psychological pressure, make work and study in patients with lower efficiency, lower quality of life. Because the etiology and pathogenesis is not clear, more limited to suit the sudden deafness with vertigo treatment, still to be further research to clarify. So far, clinical features and prognosis of sudden deafhess with vertigo research is very little. In this research, in the People’s Liberation Army General Hospital from July2008to June2012, ear medicine hospital treatment of sudden deafhess with vertigo240patients for the study, Characteristics of age, gender, pure tone audiometry, electrocochleogram and vestibular function test results of them were analyzed. Methods:In this study, collected from July2008to June2012, the People’s Liberation Army General Hospital, ear medicine hospital treatment of240cases of sudden deafness with vertigo patients, clinical data were retrospectively analyzed. Results:240cases of patients with sudden deafness with vertigo, on all accounts for about32.88%of the patients with sudden deafness. Sudden deafhess patients with vertigo age distribution9-77.3years, the average age of41.8years,102cases of male patients (42.50%), female patients,138cases (57.50%), the proportion of men to women is1:1.36. Patients120cases (50.00%) associated with the onset of the left ear, right ear disease109cases (41.42%), double ear disease11cases (4.58%). Before the onset of flu patients with a history of11cases (4.58%),20patients (8.33%) with mood swings, no obvious incentive to patients in209cases (87.09%).21cases had previous contralateral sudden deafhess,8cases of patients with vertigo,47cases of patients with hypertension,21cases of patients with diabetes,3cases of patients with coronary heart disease,3cases of patients with cervical spondylosis. Total hearing loss was the main form of hearing loss, most of them were profound hearing loss (64.17%), total deafhess hearing curve type (43.75%) and falling in the majority (31.67%). After the onset of treatment≤14days of170cases,>14days of treatment in70cases.173patients, the more vertigo course description, duration of vertigo<14days132cases (76.30%),>14days41cases (23.67%).97patients vestibular function tests, semicircular canal function was normal in43cases (44.33%), low semicircular canal function in54cases (55.67%). After treatment the total efficiency of48.84%and51.85%,respectively, no significant difference. Conclusion:Sudden deafness with vertigo associated with a higher incidence, female patients relative to male patients with a high incidence; mostly monaural incidence, onset little ears at the same time; sudden deafness with vertigo onset with no obvious incentive, the incidence etiology may be related to cold, emotional, concomitant diseases such as hypertension, diabetes and so on.Sudden deafness with vertigo mainly very severe hearing loss in patients, hearing curve type deaf and fall-type; sudden deafness with vertigo patient outcomes has nothing to do with duration of vertigo and semicircular canal function, has relation to the course of disease and after the onset of the sooner the better treatment.
