Objective: To investigate the clinical characteristics, diagnosis and treatment of superior semicircular canal dehiscence syndrome. Methods: The clinical characteristics and treatment of a patient with superior canal dehiscence syndrome were analyzed. The case is as follows:The patient was admitted to our hospital mainly for treatment of "left leg, right eye, chest trauma, pain and bleeding for 6 hours".Due to the serious condition of the patient's left lower limb,it is recommended to be hospitalized in hand surgery after consultation in relevant departments. After symptomatic treatment and surgical treatment in emergency, the patient complained of dizziness. Please consult the department of internal medicine for consultation.Later, due to recurrent dizziness, she was transferred to our department and was considered as left superior semicircular canal dehiscence syndrome after relevant examination and clinical symptoms.Left superior semicircular canal plugging was performed and she was discharged after recovery. The patients were followed up for 3 months without recurrence. Results: For patients with intractable vertigo accompanied by trauma, clinicians should be alert to the possibility of SCDS.Clinical diagnosis of SCDS mainly depends on clinical symptoms and temporal bone CT and MRI examination, and early detection and early treatment should be achieved as far as possible. Conclusions: SCDS is rare in clinic, and patients with refractory vertigo accompanied by trauma should be alert to the possibility of SCDS.The cause of SCDS is unknown, and it may be congenital dysplasia or acquired formation. The diagnosis of SCDS is mainly based on CT findings and clinical manifestations, and MRI also has certain significance. The success of plugging depends on the clinician's proficiency in inner ear surgery, and patients with SCDS need regular review after surgery, and timely treatment if there is a recurrence of the disease.
