Objective: To analyze the causes and clinical features on vertigo. Methods:Collected437cases of vertigo patients, according to the general data, clinical symptoms, signs, vestibular function examination, audiometry, CT/MRI, transcranial Doppler (TCD)and carotid artery ultrasonography findings were retrospectively analyzed the etiology, clinical characteristics. Results:(1)437cases of aged patients with vertigo of the youngest25years old, the biggest87years old, mean age60.3±12.7years old, the peak incidenceof age mainly concentrated in the age between60-69, a total of126cases (28.8%); thesecond is between70-79years old, a total of107cases (24.5); incidence ratio less in lessthan30years and80-89years of the two age;211cases of male patients,226femalepatients, the ratio of male to female was1:1.1(2) between ethnic Han patients with323cases, accounting for73.9%, the proportion was significantly higher than that of Uygur,Hui and other ethnic minorities; vertigo,190cases complicated with hypertension (43.5%),146patients with hyperlipidemia (33.4%), higher than that of patients with coronary heartdisease, diabetes and cardiac arrhythmia.(3) the most common symptoms of nausea andvertigo patients, accounted for54.2%, followed by visual rotation (44.2%), vomiting(35.2%), headache (25.6%), tinnitus (23.6%), complicated with hemiplegia, hearing loss, dysarthria is rare(4) patients with vertigo in vestibular function tests were found in82cases, normal test results in48cases, accounting for58.5%;34cases were abnormal(41.5%), BPPV in19cases, accounting for23.2%, MD, VN were8.5%,9.8%; electricaudiometry were determined in95cases, the results were abnormal, high-frequencyhearing loss,48cases of sensorineural deafness in40cases, mixed nerve deafness in7cases, accounting for50.5%,42.1%,7.4%respectively, and no mixed nerve deafness(5)TCD examination of blood vessels in the brain to normal in81cases, accounting for23.7%; vascular stenosis in110cases, accounting for32.3%, involving the anterior circulation stenosis,14cases,65cases of posterior circulation, ratio of circulation beforeand after1:4.6, after which the dominant vascular lesions in circulation and vertebralartery (about90.7%), accounted for the major vascular lesions of anterior circulation ofmiddle cerebral artery (78.6%); neck vascular ultrasound vascular lesions with thickening/patches, a total of300cases, accounting for48.6%; vascular stenosis accounted for only16.5%(6) MRI/CT showed that the most common lesions lacunar cerebral infarction,245cases (59.9%);21cases, infarction of basal ganglia bridge cerebellum atrophy in13cases,posterior fossa arachnoid cyst in8cases, accounted for5.2%,3.2%,1.9%;113cases in thecontrol group (27.6%)(7) the main disease because of vertigo of vertebrobasilarinsufficiency (VBI), a total of375cases, the proportion of85.8%; other causes were BPPV,MD, VN, mood disorders, migraine, accounted for5.3%,4.1%,3.4%,0.92%,0.46%respectively. Conclusion:Vertigo occurrence increases with age,60-69years of age peak, but arrived after the age of80have been rare, women than men; All ethnic groups in thehighest proportion of patients of Han nationality, hypertension and hyperlipidemia iscommon complications; the most common clinical symptoms were nausea; vestibularfunction examination the common reasons of vestibular dysfunction in the order of BPPV,VN, MD; audiometry with high-frequency hearing loss, abnormalities in patients withsensorineural deafness is a common; brain vascular stenosis is more common, the mostcommon site of involvement of posterior circulation, vertebrobasilar artery system mainlyin the middle cerebral artery, anterior circulation; neck vascular ultrasound vascularlesions with thickening/patches, multivessel disease more common; MRI/CT resultssuggest that the most common lesions lacunar infarction; The main causes of vertigo ofvertebrobasilar insufficiency...
