Objective:To evaluate the clinical significance of double phase PET/CT the solidmaximal standard uptake value differential benign from malignant solitary pulmonarynodule. Methods:Eighty seven patients with solitary pulmonary nodule visualized on18F-FDG PET/CT scan were investigated.Double phase images were acquired afterinjection of18F-FDG45min(SUVmax1),2h(SUVmax2)Finally, quantitative analysis ofthe images were analyzed and compare with the pathological results.Using ROC curveevaluation of the diagnostic performance of the maximal standard uptakevalue. Results:Quantitative analysis showed the early phase imaging SUVmax1,delayedphase imaging SUVmax2and retention index△SUV in the double phase were higher inmalignant groups than that in benign groups(P <0.05).The areas under the ROC curveswere0.94、0.90and0.86respectively forSUVmax1,SUVmax2and△SUV.The cutoffpoint of which was3.62、3.45and14.4%(for SUVmax1,SUVmax2and△SUV).If thesolitary pulmonary nodule SUVmax1more than3.62as the diagnostic threshold, thesensitivity, specificity and accuracy were86.9%,75.6%,78.1%. Conclusion:The doublephase18F-FDG PET/CT maximal standard uptake value has clinical significance in thedifferential benign from malignant solitary pulmonary nodule....
