Swimming is a favorite activity of fitness, sports, recreation, rehabilitation. The physical health of the masses is directly impacted by the managements and hygienic conditions of swimming places. The nonstandard management of swimming workplace could easily lead to a lot of bacteria and germs occur in swimming pool water, and result in the water-borne diseases and other public health events and certain infectious dangers of damage to people’s health.According to "Health management in public places ordinance","The requirements of the Rules" and "Swimming places hygienic practices in public places health regulations", we must take strict measures to sanitarian and disinfective work. Therefore, strengthening health management and disinfection of water for swimming places is great significance to protect the health of people, and to prevent the occurrence of water-borne diseases and other public health events. Objective:To understand the water quality of swimming places by the health indicators status of free residual chlorine, total bacterial count, coliform, pH value by2006to2010in Maanshan. To grasp the problems of disinfection work existing in the swimming pool water. To ensure effective prevention and control pool water on human health hazards, policies and measures to the swimming workplace health management should be further strengthened, and the disinfection of swimming pool water also should be standardized. Methods:The survey samples derived from the opening up of swimming places in Maanshan from2006to2010.The Bureau of Health Supervision collects these samples in summer. The results of health indicators in swimming pools water come from on-site monitoring by Maanshan City Sanitary Surveillance Agency and lab-testing by Ma’anshan City CDC laboratory. According to "Public places health standards monitoring test method to evaluate the inspection" and "swimming workplace health standard GB9667-1996",the health indicators of water pH value, turbidity, urea, free residual chlorine, immersion foot disinfect water residual chlorine, total bacterial count, coliform and others are monitored.the pool water free residual chlorine, water immersion foot disinfection residual chlorine are tested on-site. Water pH value, turbidity, urea, free residual chlorine, immersion foot disinfect water residual chlorine, total bacterial count, coliform and others are evaluated in accordance with "the swim workplace health standards (GB9667-1996)".Using SPSS11.0to data entry, checking the data verification on strict judgment and logic process, as well as abnormal values. Results:The pass rates of five-year results from low to high ordered of free residual chlorine, total bacteria, coliforms, urea, immersion foot pool of residual chlorine, turbidity, pH.Conclusion:We found that the low pass rate from the residual chlorine was the major health problem. Health management and water disinfection of swimming places needed to be further strengthened.we must to focus on strengthening the practical training of personnel responsible in swimming places, for disinfection work needs prior training. We must regulate the dose of disinfectant on quantitative, batched, timing,.we must monitor the water residual chlorine regular, fixed-point.To promote circulation purification, the disinfection facilities of transformation and rebuilting must be effective. To promote the effective operation of the mandatory shower, we must promote the normal use of forced immersion foot pool disinfection, and regulate specification of the new water to pool and turbidity monitoring. During Opening,we should appropriately control the number of swimer, in particular, focus on the control of a good number of children and adolescents.Timely adjustment of changing the new water times to pool,at the same time, adding the new water cycled times according to the actual number of screenings. we should shorten to alleviate water treatment load especially in peak hours, reaching to controlthe actual effect of various pharmaceutical.Health supervision departments should strengthen the times of supervision during the openning.and sampling of swimming places open pool water quality of health do "Weekly occasional sampling, revealing the results of detection to the public and tracking the failed results " to ensure the hygiene and safety of the water quality. Objective To explore the intervening effects on regular health supervision of swimming pools. Methods The hygienic indices of swimming water of15swimming pools were examined before the intervention and after, the indices include aerobic bacterial count, coliform bacteria, pH value, turbidity, urea, dissociate chlorine. Statistic the health knowledge of the staff, and then intervene them, measure and compare if the pass rate of these indices before and after the intervention has statistical difference. Results60samples of swimming pool water were detected, the pass rate of health knowledge before and after the intervention have been significantly improved, and have reached more then85%, however, the hygienic indices of swimming pool water quality have not made more improvement. Conclusion In order to improve the water quality much more, making effective health supervision programs to improve the level of health management base on the number of swimmer, control the interval between two period during the peak period of swimming; strengthen the disinfection of the swimming pool water, the focus of the supervision and monitoring is in improving the self-test and self-control system of dissociate chlorine, at the same time to strengthen the monitoring about the water volume and dissociate chlorine in the Baptist foot pool.
