ObjectiveTo assay the plasma omentin and visfatin levels of type2diabetes mellitus with or without nonalcoholic fatty liver (NAFLD),and to explore the pathogenesis of omentin and visfatin in nonalcoholic fatty liver, to further provide new ideas for prevention and treatment of nonalcoholic fatty liver.MethodsOutpatients and patients in the ward of Newly diagnosised T2DM from The Third Central Hosptial of Tianjin Medical University from October2010to march2011were chosen and divided into group A without noncalholic fatty liver(n=45)and group B with noncalholic fatty liver (n=42). Height, weight, waist circufereance (WC), hip circufereance (HC) of each group were determined, body mass index(BMI), waist hip ratio (WHR) and were caculated. Oral glucose tolerance test was executed in order to assay fasting plasma glucose,fasting insulin,plasma lipid after eight hours’fasting, and then to assay plasma glucose after two hours, homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR)was calculated (HOMA-IR=(FBGxFins)/22.5). The enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay were used to detect the plasma omentin and visfatin. Application SPSS19.0statistic software for data processing, analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to show the difference between the three groups. Simple correlation (spearson correlation and logistic regress correlation) were used to show the relationship of omentin visfatin between the other indicators.the difference was statistically significant if P<0.05.ResultsClinical laboratory data in addition to gender, age, outside, the rest of the various factors are statistical differences (P<0.05), compared with group A and group B sig-nificantly lower levels of omentin, visfatin levels increased significantly (P<0.05).Group A and group B were divided into three group by index (△Ins30/△ G30).Through analysis of omentin visfatin and omentin/visfatin level, results from omentin/visfatin has close relationship with islet fouction than omentin or visfatin level.Spearman correlation analysis omentin plasma levels in patients with T2DM and InFins InHOMA-IR, WC, FBG, visfantin negatively correlated with HDL-C,△Ins30/△G30positively correlated; Visfatin levels and InHOMA-IR, InFins, FBG, LDL were positively correlated,and△Ins30/△G30showed negatively correlated; Omentin/visfatin and△Ins30/△G30were positively correlated, and InHOMA-IR, FBG, WC, LDL showed a negative correlation.Multiple linear stepwise regression analysis in group DM with NAFLD plasma omentin levels as dependent variable, WC, InHOMA-IR,△Ins30/△G30, HDL, LDL-C, InFins, FBG as independent variables, the results showed InFins, WC, FPG is the influence factors. Plasma visfatin levels as dependent variable, HOMA IR,△Ins30/△G30, LDL-C, InFins, FBG as independent variables, multiple stepwise regression analysis, the results showed that the HOMA-IR, FBG, LDL is the influence factors.Logistic regression analysis in T2DM patients with NAFLD in the presence of (without fatty liver is0, with fatty liver are1) as the dependent variable, the related factors as the independent variable in Logistic regression analysis, the results show that omentin, omentin/visfatin, HOMA-IR is the influence factors of NAFLD.ConclusionOmentin, visfatin, by adjusting the glucolipid metabolism and insulin resistance in type2diabetes mellitus and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease’s occurrence development, Omentin has correlation with visfatin, there may be some kind of interaction between regulatory mechanism.
