A Research On The United States Legislative Acts Of Acupuncture

The United States is one of the earliest countries which regulate acupuncture by legislations. The legislation of acupuncture in the United States experienced a difficult process, especially in its initial period of legislation. To regulate acupuncture by legislation can effectively ensure its development in a healthy and orderly way, so as to protect legal rights and interests of acupuncture practitioner. The United States has distinct characteristics in legislation of acupuncture, which is becoming more and more mature and perfect.This paper collected and sorted out the present condition, development situation of acupuncture, legislative acts on acupuncture of every state in the United States, and by studying them we came to understand and grasp the overall development situation of acupuncture in the United States, and legislation of acupuncture of every state, and sum up administration system of acupuncture in the United States and its successful experience.The first and second parts of this paper introduced the present situation of legislation and history of legislation of acupuncture in the United States, and on the basis of brief introduction of American law framework summarized the legislation situation of acupuncture in the United States.The third and fourth parts of this paper concluded characteristics of legislation of acupuncture in the United States, and on this basis extracted key points of legislative acts of every state.The fifth, sixth and seventh parts of the paper introduced current development situation in three aspects of demand, education, science and research of acupuncture, on this account summarized the administration system of acupuncture in the United States, and tentatively explored and discussed the significance of use of the system for reference for international development of acupuncture.By summing up characteristics of legislation of acupuncture in the United States, concluding the current situation of legislation of acupuncture in the United States, as well as summarizing the significance of use of administration system of legislation in the United States for reference, the paper gave lesson sand references for facilitating or deepening legislation of acupuncture for more countries.
