The Study On Medicare Of The United States

With the issue of the difficulty and the high price of medical care,the discussion is increasingly hot.Inevitably there will be a reform in the medical area.We can learn from the advanced countries and avoid their failure. So that we can achieve our goal quickly.Now,Medical reform is going on in the USA. The United States have advantages in economics ,technology and so on.When come to the medical system of the USA,many people criticize it for not providing security to 47 million people.In fact,the medical system of the USA includes several aspects.One of them is Medicare,which runs rather well focusing mainly on the old people.Although people in the United States are not satisfied with their medical system,they speak highly of Medicare.Medicare contributes greatly to the medical security of the old people.The senior people earn less money because of retirement,and they are more likely to fall ill than the young people.There is no doubt that they want to gain medical insurance eagerly.Medicare protects the old people against illness and maintains the stability of the society.This paper first introduces the theory basis of medical insurance of the USA,then compares Medicare with commercial insurance and Medicaid.At last,it comes to the characteristic, function, direction and problem of Medicare.This paper analyses the content and the characteristic of Medicare,and compares it with the medical system of China. The author hopes that the paper can make some contributions to the medical reform of China.
