The Empirical Research On Government Purchases Of Community Health Services

The government purchases of community health services have been widely applied to the establishment of national health services system in many countries all over the world. The community health services have been seen as a vital base for many countries to provide health care to public. In China, the development of community health services not only play a role on construction of service-oriented government, but also provide a important way to build new relationship between government and public as well as establish local network. In order to reform the system of national health services and improve the coverage of primary health care, it is significant to spread the community health services in China. The public health services with concept of "prevention first, prevention and treatment integrated" newly created by the government will help to solve the problem of "shortage and high expense on health care" in the current industry. This paper will firstly make a detailed introduction on the concept and characteristics for government purchases of community health services by using the fundamental health service policy and governance policy. Secondly, it will carry out the literature review on different modes for government purchases of health services in different nations and what the advantages and disadvantages they had respectively. I believe this surely point out a direction on how Chinese government implement purchases on community health services better. On the meanwhile, paper will be based on government purchases of community health services in Hohhot city to investigate the current issues in a real case study and make in depth analysis. Finally, the recommendations on how government purchases of community health services implementing well in Hohhot city will be provided.
