Objective: To investigate clinical and pathological characteristics, surgicalapproach selection and prognostic factors of small intestinal stromal tumor. Methods: Retrospective analysis of41cases of small intestinal stromal tumors inthe First Hospital of Dalian Medical University, January2004to2011in September, all119cases of gastrointestinal stromal tumor clinical data. Follow-up using the method oftelephone follow-up and outpatient return visit. Data were analyzed with SPSS17.0statistical methods using the χ2test, P <0.05was considered significant. Results: Symptoms of upper gastrointestinal bleeding in the clinicalmanifestations of small intestinal stromal tumors accounted for61.0percent, followedby abdominal pain, discomfort (39.0%), mass (14.6%), obstructive symptoms such asnausea and vomiting (22.0%), asymptomatic17.1%; CT diagnosis of tumor location inthe jejunum (43.9%), duodenum (34.1%), ileum accounted for22.0%; this article was84.2%, endoscopic diagnosis was61.0%; CD117positive expression rate of92.3%CD34positive expression rate was59.0%;1,3-year survival rate was92.7%,73.2%, theimpact of small intestinal stromal tumor prognosis factors are tumor size, mitoticnumber, whether distant metastasisthe use of surgery is complete resection and ancillarydrugs (Gleevec)(P <0.05).Conclusions:1. The small intestinal stromal tumors of the most common clinicalmanifestation of symptoms of upper gastrointestinal bleeding, abdominal mass, abdominal discomfort and symptoms of intestinal obstruction, non-specific clinicalmanifestations.2.Predilection sites for the jejunum, followed by the duodenum and ileum.3.Higher accuracy inspection method is a combination of CT and other imagingstudies and endoscopic approach, the lack of specific checks. 4.CD117positive expression is more sensitive diagnostic criteria. The prognosisof small intestinal stromal tumors and tumor diameter, mitotic number, whether distantmetastases, surgery is complete removal of the auxiliary drugs (Gleevec) the.5.All patients with small intestinal stromal tumors such as non-surgicalcontraindications should be treated surgically. CD117positive patients supplementedwith Gleevec adjuvant therapy can effectively improve the survival rate.
