The paper studied the key business processes that blood products related from the perspective ofsupply chain and logistics management. That means putting blood donors, blood station, hospitals, bloodusers together to form a complete blood supply chain, and using the theories of supply chain and logisticsmanagement to analyze the status quo of blood logistics comprehensively. By studying current businessprocesses of blood stations to identify the characteristics and advantages of blood logistics, also analyze theshortcomings of existing work and make a reasonable optimization. The paper provides new managementtheories to support blood stations making faster and better development. The paper has reference value tothe domestic and foreign blood station managers, also to personnel engaged in logistics study. The author used field surveys, comprehensive analysis, empirical analysis, literature studies, comparative analysis and other research means to study the domestic blood stations.Against the processesthat blood products involved in the author introduced concepts such as inventory-management,warehouse-management, transportation-management, cold-chain logistics management, supply chainmanagement, the modern information processing technology etc and gave many rational recommendationsby analyzing the each of above concepts. Learning from the Wal-Mart’s successful experiences in logisticsmanagement, the author proposed optimizations about blood logistics management that the blood stationsshould strengthen systematic, information technology, standardized, personalized and low-costconstruction.In order to strengthen and standardize the blood stations quality control, regulate the practice of bloodstations, promote construction and development of blood stations, ensure blood safety, China Ministry ofHealth has issued a series of related policies and regulations, The paper interpreted the national policiesand regulations from the perspective of logistics management rationally so that the majority of medicalworkers could learn these policies and regulations from new perspectives. The daily work of blood collection, production preparation, inspection, storage, distribution, transportation and other links in blood stations contains a lot of logistics information, theauthor attemptedto introduce bar-code technology, radio frequency technology, network technology, globalsatellite-positioning systems and other advanced information processing technologies into the bloodmanagement, to make comprehensive solution to the problem of large amounts of information,s reading, identifying, transferring and sharing in blood logistics process so that the work of blood stations could bemore smooth, more high quality and efficiency.Focusing on global blood logistics management means planning, execution and control on the wholeprocess of blood logistics with modern logistics management theory, information processing technologyetc, The results of management is to ensure not only the blood products flow correctly(effective), but alsobe short time or low cost (efficiency), its highest goal is to make customers satisfied. Whether a singlebusiness process of blood logistics or the integration system of blood logistics, the most important principleof their planning, management and implementation is the integrated thinking, low-cost building, low-costbuilding, communication of ideas and customer satisfaction thinking, these are the essence of bloodlogistics. As the studies (the blood cold chain logistics management, inventory management, transportationmanagement, information processing, etc.) in blood-related logistics at home and abroad are very rare, there is no reference to professional theories that can be directly used, the author can only make apreliminary discussion of this phenomenon of blood logistic by combining with years practical experienceof himself and some simple theories of logistics management. Whether the drawn conclusions bycomparative analysis are right or wrong in this paper remains further research and verification to bloodlogistics of blood stations in the future. The author also hopes to attract more attentions of the experts inlogistics-related research, so that we pay more attention to the logistics of blood, and give comments andsuggestions to this research.
