The main purpose of this study is get distant hybrids by using the method of polymerization germplasm,the wild chrysanthemum has excellent resistance gene (such as hardiness, drought resistance, waterlogging,etc.) and we will use them to breedmore modern chrysanthemum,through introgression in breeding new varieties while providing some basic data for exploring the genetic relationship between the genera within chrysanthemum in broad sense.This research mostly focused on the excellent resources of Hippolytia、 Opisthopappus、 Chrysanthemum、 Ajania、 Nipponanthemum. Pollination by hand or bees was carried out here to achieve the hybrids between these genera in the cross without emasculation. This research involved35combinations. Some possible hybrids were selected from the variable plants based on phenotypic characteristics. These putative intergeneric hybrids were identifed furtherly by morphological,cytological, and ITS sequences analysis. New intergeneric hybridswere produced successfully ncluding Hippolytia trifida×(Chrysanthemum oreastrum×’Wandaifengguang)、Hippolytia×Chrysanthemum zawadskii、 Hippolytia kaschgarica×Nipponanthemum nipponicum,and we got24hybrids of Hippolytia trifida×(Chrysanthemum oreastrum×’Wandaifengguang’)x(4jania Khartensis×Opisthopappus taihangensis). Thefertility of F1can be found by some of F2This experiment used Ajania trifida with Chrysanthemum、 Ajania and Opisthopappus to cultivate hybrids.Then we got the F1and established the System evolution branching tree to infer Hippolytia trifida should be classified as Ajania,we also accept the position which was putted in the English version of the Flora of China that is Hippolytia trifida had been renamed as Ajania trifida.
