The Intergeneric hybridization within the Chrysanthemum in broad sense was implemented in order to improve the germplasm resources of chrysanthemums by introducing the drouthy and hardy gene of the related genera and identify the relationship between these genera. The germplasm resources of Chrysanthemum were collected , including Opisthopappus longilobus and O. taihangensis, Dendranthema potentilloides, D.argyrophyllum, Filifolium sibiricum. The plantlet of the A.pallasian and O. taihangensis were propagated by tissue culture.Between 2005 and 2006, we carried out the test of the intergeneric hybridization between the Ajania, Brachanthemum, Pyrethrum, Opisthopappus and Dendranthema . The whole test can be divided into 17 combination, 352 anthotaxy, 13249 small flower, and 1389 seeds, 209 plantlets were collected, finally we have got 2 hybridization plantlet between A.pallasian and P.cinerarifolium and the other intergenic hybrids between Dendranthema, Ajania and Opisthopappus. The embryo development of the hybridization between A.pallasian, P.cinerarifolium and D. vestitum were observed by use of the whole chearing technology. The ploidy levels of the germplasm resources including the related species and hybrids were identified by flow cytometry. The Flow Cytometry technology were used on identification of chromosome ploidy in some hybridization plantlet. There is still some trouble on some cultivars which have excessive hair on their epidermis identification, and suitable for cultivars which have less hair.
