| Ground-cover chrysanthemum is the result of the return to the wild state breeding of Chrysanthemum×morifolium,it has been widely used in garden for its lowness of plant height,richness of flowers and colors,long flowering period,strong stress resistance.All of the varieties just have flower ornamental value,but the vegetative growth period of ground-cover chrysanthemum is much longer than it’s flowering period,so breeding new types of ground-cover chrysanthemum that both leaves and flowers are of ornamental values is the purpose of the study.Numerical classification of ground-cover chrysanthemum and its relative germplasm,to clear phylogenetic relationship among them, then choosing the Ajania pacifica which have beautiful leaves to cross with ground-cover chrysanthemum。 Analysis of the genetic characteristics in terms of the different traits of crossed progenies.Main results are as follow:1)Numerical classification of44ground-cover chrysanthemum varieties,2wild relatives and Ajania pacifica, the result demonstrate that Ajania pacifica is more close to ground-cover chrysanthemum than Dendranthema lavandulifolium and Dendranthema lavandulifolium var. seticuspe.ground-cover chrysanthemum varieties can be divided into4categories;Principal component analysis indicates that,morphological characters are important to the classification of ground-cover chrysanthemum and its relative germplasm are the shape of the top of leaf lobes,crown, long of leave/long of petiole,width of the leaf,flower center diameter of chrysanthemum,long of ray flower, long of leave,diameter of the inflorescence.2)To create new ground-cover chrysanthemum varieties that both leaves and flowers are with ornamental values, filtered out14different ground-cover chrysanthemum varieties, including C.’Dongfanghong’, C.’Huangjinjia’, C.’Meiaizi’, C.’Yulong’etc to form16cross combinations.7283seedlings were achieved, got3299strains of progenies, picked five for protection of new varieties.Comparison of8kinds of pollen preservation methods, found that pollens have the largest activity in-20℃after dry for24hours.3)According to the height, crown, long of the leave, diameter of the inflorescence, florescence of crossed progenies, inheritance of plant height shows obvious genetic hybrid recession; inheritance of crown and long of leaves has heterosis; diameter of the inflorescence between parents; all crossed progenies have ray florets, indicates the gene control ray florets development is a dominant genetic; color of ray florets separated, mostly in white and yellow. |
