The present study was to evaluated the effect of Chlorine Dioxide (ClO2) and trichloroisocyanuric acid (TCCA) inducing the acute toxic effect and chronic toxic effect on the plasama indices of Oreochromis niloticus (average body length75.37±5.72mm, average body weight12.52±2.63g). Results showed that:1. Effect of acute toxic effect inducing by ClO2and TCCAThe acute toxic effect was assessed in static aquatic life test. The medial lethal concentration and safe concentration was test after24h,48h,72h and96h, respectively. Results showed safe concentration for the fish in ClO2after24h,48h,72h and96h was2.44mg/L, respectively, and the medial lethal concentration for the fish was4.53,4.54,4.38and4.25mg/L. For the TCCA, the medial lethal concentration was4.53,4.54,4.38and4.25mg/L, respectively, and the safe concentration was0.43mg/L. The results showed ClO2was low-toxic pesticide, however, TCCA was toxic pesticide.2. Effect of ClO2and TCCA on the plasma indices of the fishIn the experiment, the fish were cultured in4.90,2.45,1.225,0.817and0.613mg/L, which last1d,7d,14d,21d and28d. The results showed activity of CAT was little high in7d treatment, however, no significant difference was observed among14,21and28d treatments. Plasma SOD decreased significantly with the increasing of concentration of ClO2. Plasma TP concentration decreased with the increasing of ClO2concentration. In the high ClO2concentration treatment, plasma TP significantly decreased with the increasing of experimental time. Plasma alb content in the treatments significantly lowered than control group.Another treatment included0(control treatment)0.805,0.425,0.213,0.142and0.106mg/L TCCA. Results showed TCCA concentration significantly decreased CAT activity. In low concentration of TCCA, no significant difference was observed for CAT activity. CAT activity tends to decreased with the increasing of experimental time. Low TCCA concentration increased SOD activity, however, high TCCA concentration decreased SOD activity. Plasma TP concentration followed a similar tendency with SOD. Alb concentration showed a conversed tendency with the experimental time. The results of present study showed that the low concentration of ClO2and TCCA could increased the plasma indices, however, high concentration had an adverse effect on the immunity of fish. Plasma CAT and SOD activity and TP and Alb concentration was inhibited with the increasing of experimental time.
