| As the new engine for Qinhuangdao economic development, the breakthrough of costalstrategies and the new platform of “Tourism Setting Up City†strategies, Beidaihe NewDistrict carries the heavy responsibilities of “experimental plot†and “breakthrough†ofreadjusting the industrial structure and transforming economic development patterns in Hebeiprovince, economic growth and tourism industrial upgrading in Qinhuangdao city. BeidaiheNew District considers ecology and resources as the greatest advantage and the core power,and establishes the planning and positioning——Setting up the district with humanisticecology and flourishing the district with new and high-level industries; Building nationalservice industrial overall reform demonstration zone, tourism overall reform demonstrationzone, and national green building demonstration zone on the basis of low carbon ecology andmodern service industries; Building the overall demonstration zone integrated with high-levelvacation travel, ecological demonstration, characteristic industrial development and livablerural and urban construction; Creating the world famous high-level vacation, travel andmodern service industrial demonstration zone, the national ecological low carbondevelopment demonstration city, Hebei provincial coastal characteristic industrialemphasizing development zone, and urban-rural integration development demonstration zonesparing no effort; Sticking to the high-level industrial positioning of tourism and modernservice.The paper aims to set six overall objectives to explore a new road of green, organic andecological-type agriculture suitable for the new district through arranging the advantages ofBeidaihe New District. The objectives are:(1)Building and protecting the sound ecologicalenvironment;(2)Proving new pattern and approaches for the rural areas to become rich andlive a comfortable life;(3)Serving the high-level tourist industry;(4)Providing high qualitymaterials for core industries;(5)Innovating the functions of tourism;(6)Leading anddemonstrating for the northern coastal areas. And in order to fulfill the above objectives, thepaper suggested the eco-agriculture of the new district focus on tourist service typeagriculture, large-scale leading industries matched agriculture, tourist agriculture, processingagriculture, circular and tridimensional agriculture. The measures includes:(1)Projects of flower industry;(2)Comprehensive utilization projects of geothermal resources for tourism;(3)Projects of eco-type grapes-town construction;(4)Eco-type fishery projects;(5)Large-scalefarming of balloonfish and the detection technology of toxin extraction;(6)Construction projects ofsweet sorghum and eco-millet;(7)Comprehensive utilization projects of purple sweet potato dregs;(8)New-type food projects of circular utilization and processing of asparagus of B class.At last, by analyzing the economic benefits of each concrete measure and expoundingthe feasibility of each projects, the environmental and social benefits of developingeco-agriculture in Beidaihe New District, the paper carried out overall evaluation on eachsuggestion. |
