The urban green area functions exertive can not be separated from the soil. The urban residential environmental suitability,environment quality and people’s life quality are closely related to urban soil functions. City garden soil is the important factor that affects urban afforestation. The study tests and analysis Beidaihe district’s roads,park green land of soil physical and chemical properties and,has carried on the comprehensive evaluation of soil quality of garden and reveals the main problems of roads and green land in the park. The research demonstrates:(1) The types of natural soil in the survey area are mainly composed of moisture soil, brown soil,and saline soil. The roads and park soil in the survey area are mostly filling soil because of years of urban construction,under which is the original natural soil. Beidaihe district soil leaching is strong,water soluble salt leaches to a lower level after the rainy season. Most time of a year the plants are not influenced by salt stress.(2) Of all the measurements of 148 samples, the pH is between 4.21 ~ 8.61. Almost all the soil samples are alkaline,which shows that garden green land in urban soil biases alkaline trend. The average content of organic matter,available nitrogen, available phosphorus and available potassium is 0.648%,92.342ug/g,6.507 ug/g,136.788ug/g respectively. According to the second soil census of soil fertility status classification standard,Beidaihe district main roads and park green land of soil organic matter content is generally low,most of the available nitrogen content is in the medium level,most of the available p content is at very low levels,most effective potassium content is at a higher level,the soil potassium is not deficiency.(3) Beidaihe District native soil fertility tends to improve. On the roads and park green land of Beidaihe district,the topsoil is backfill and the deep is disturbed soil. Compared with the original topsoil,contrast the same road in different locations,different roads, green land and parkland soil nutrient status,there is no significant distribution of soil nutrients in the region.(4) Beidaihe district main roads and park green land of soil integrated fertility index IFI,whose average value is 0.3490,whose standard deviation is 0.1564,whose range of 0.0958~0.7375,whose variation coefficient was 44.82%. Low soil nutrient level accounted for 12.50%;lower level 58.33%;medium level 22.92%;higher level 6.25%. Beidaihe district main roads and park green land soil nutrient level is poorer, most of which are at low soil nutrient levels,embodied in the organic matter content is generally low,mild nitrogen is deficiency,phosphorus is deficiency,but the capacity of soil potassium is not deficiency. The soil quality of green land has a great influence on the city’s green.
