| Plants are the most direct view of seasonal aspect change and people can feel life growing and changing through them. Its diversity and artistry have a profound impact to people’s life and spirit. Spring and summer are the seasons for revival, during which the plants are prosperous and lively, whose beauty is relatively easy to be conveyed and shaped. In contrast, a majority of plants withered in autumn and winter, but just because of this dead there’ve been the next season’s revival. Both autumn and winter are the best seasons for artistic expression, for autumn shows life’s last brightness and colorful and winter presents restful sight when simmering for the next year’s growing. What plant designers need to do is presenting the natural beauty of the dead and dormant plants in a way that can be perceived by ordinary people.This paper differentiates seasons based on twenty-four solar terms; Expounds the autumn-winter plant landscape designing theories, including landscaping aesthetics, landscape ecology, ecology aesthetics, aesthetic properties of autumn-winter plants.Resource is the basic element of landscape designing. The usage of more autumn-winter ornamental plants will improve the quality of a city’s landscape. This paper invstigates resources of autumn-winter ornamental plants in main public parks in Wuhan. Constructes AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) modle to access autumn-winter ornamental plants. Based on the comprehensive score we find that there are42species of fall-color trees,19species of autumn-winter ornamental fruit plants,13species of autumn-winter flower plants,11species of autumn-winter ornamental trunk plants,18species of autumn-winter ornamental grasses,6species of perennials flowering in autumn and winter in green-space in Wuhan, also there are13species of fall-color trees,12species and10genus of autumn-winter ornamental fruit plants,3species of autumn-winter flower plants,6species of late winter flowering plants,2species of autumn-winter ornamental trunk plants,7species of autumn-winter ornamental grasses,20genus of perennials which has special texture, color or shapes in autumn and winter to be recommended.Based on theories and resources the paper discusses the thoughts of choosing best plants for woodland landscape and wilderness landscape in Wuhan... |
