Study On The Leaves’ Characteristic And Gardening Application Of Colorful Plants In Beijing

Colorful plants have been playing a very important role landscape arichitecture, not only which constitute landscape, but also, colorful plants their own ornamental characteristic is an irreplaceable factor in making the nature colorful. And Beijing is a city which has long history as well as booming vitality. The confier shared a very important position in greening Beijing. But the related research on colorful plants has been mostly staying on the ecology of colorful plants and colorful plants’breeding. Lack some research which aim at application of colorful plants and viewing requirement as the point of departure, conduct of scientific research mainly as follows:The first part it is in great need of gain a clear information on the colorful plants in Beijing landscape. Investigating on gardens and inquest documents just as<Beijing Flora>,<China Flora> etc, including 31 families and95 species colorful Plants in total (including species and varieties). A total of 12 kinds of spring-color trees, account for 13%; 61kinds of autumn leaves, account for 64%; 22 kinds of ever-color trees, account for 23%. Besides,31 kinds of autumn leaves were analyzed on Wuling Mountain, which is a representative mountain of Beijing rich in the wild all-color trees.The second part,20 species of fall-color plants are investigated in detail, including their color-varying date, color-varying period, changing colors in the process of color-varying, and the best view time, as well as the best color changing temperature etc. in their colorful period. In Beijing, I recommended the best viewing period for fall-color plants was in the mid-october to mid-november. In addition, analytic hierarchy process was used to evaluate the 15 kinds of autumn leaves, and finally they were divided into three levels, the first level which got the highest value included six species:Ginkgo biloba, Platanus×acerifolia, Platanus occidentalis, Cotinus coggygria, they are the main species in constituting the autumn plants landscape in Beijing.The third part, through the research on the different kinds of colorful plants’configuration in Beijing, their application characteristics and landscape features were summarized and analyzed; In addiation, some good configuration examples were introduced to explain the application forms and the corresponding requirements for colorful plants; Then some good combinations with different colors and different seasonal characteristics were recommended in the form of drawings.This article emphasis the leaves’beautiful color, especially introduce the leaves’characteristics and lanscape application of the colorful plants in Beijing. The article’s innovation lies on the following aspects:1. Investigating and reorganizing the species of colorful plants in Beijing, and analyzing the main fall-color plants’color-varying date, color-varying period, changing colors in the process of color-varying, and the best view time, as well as the best color changing temperature etc. in their colorful period.2. Changing the traditional thought pattern which thinks the flowers’color is the stress of landscape plants’color design, pointing that leaves’color, which means colorful plants play an important part in planting design, also recommending the beautiful combinations with different colors and different seasonal characteristics in Beijing.
