Tomato(Solunam lycopersicum) is widely cultivated vegetable crop worldwide, and the fresh fruit is climacteric in the ripening processt. In the crown of the year and selling season, a mass of tomato decayed because of storage and long-distance transport, resulting in the farmers’ or sellers’ economic losses. In consideration of this, the exploratory study and breeding of long shelf-life tomato variety are necessary. The anti-ACO gene can control ethylene biosynthesis. The transgenic tomato materials, containing the anti-ACO gene, could slow down the fruit ripening and decay. This study utilized high generation inberd lines who had the the anti-ACO gene, and other good inberd lines to produced hybridized combinations. Afterwards we performed the combination comparison trial, at the same time, we stored up the broken-color stage fruit to reseach the storability. At last, screened the F2segregation population.Through two seasons combination comparison trial and inbred lines selective breeding, the main experiment consequences were as following.1Took the (A101(A111)×D2) Fn high generation as the male parent, and other big fruit type tomato as the female parent,45hybrid combinations were produced. In the2011autumn and2012spring, the variety test were carried out separately. Through the survey of field trail, maturity, yield, fruit quality and storage test, etc, compared synthetically, several crosses of2011autumn were screened out, like36-2-3×AD4, H12-1-2-1×AD8,27-1-2×AD7, and a few comparisons of2012spring, such as35-2-2-3×AD7,35-2-4-1-3×AD11, etc. These comparisons appeared long shelf-life, high yield and good quality, the integrated phenotypes were outstanding.2The experiment separated the F2generation of anti-decayed tomato via selfing3generations continuously, in combination with approachs such as seedling stage Km screening, field traits survey and molecular marker detection. The target traits we selected were big fruit, no-shoulder and long shelf-life. The screening result of2012autumn focused on anti-ACO gene’s existence in F2and F3, and then reserved seeds per plant. At the same time, implemented a Ty-1molecular marker detection of the experiment materials, the experimental results show that only9plants contained the Ty-1gene, and5plants were homozygous,4plants were heterozygous.
