Design Of Livestock And Poultry Farming Monitoring And Control System

Mainly based on the livestock and poultry farming situations of Jiangsu Province and by taking the status of the technical equipment of Jiangsu and other provinces into consideration, the growth characteristics of livestock and poultry and the environmental factors during the farming process and designs a livestock and poultry farming control system integrating the control of temperature, humidity, illumination and disinfection was studied. And the system was suitable for medium and small farms. Automatic control of livestock and poultry farming environmental factors was realized so that the animals could stay in a healthy farming environment and thus the benefit of farming may be improved.The research and development of an intelligent livestock and poultry farming environment monitoring system was introduced and the hardware circuit and software design were elaborated on as well. Because the system needs to collect environmental factors such as humidity, temperature, illumination and gas, the whole system mainly includes the signal collection, main controller, control devices and man-machine parts. Moreover, the communication module is reserved to facilitate expansion of the system and realize control in a larger scope.Two parts, i.e., the hardware design and software design were included in the design of the livestock and poultry farming environment monitoring system. The hardware design consists of the system structure, main control chip module, signal collection module, relay selection, clock module, man-machine intercourse module, etc. and the software design mainly covers temperature, humidity, intensity of illumination and gas concentration collection, PWM output, liquid crystal display (LCD), parameter setting, control unit, etc.Finally, the livestock and poultry farming environment monitoring system was tested in Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the livestock and poultry farm of Xuhe Town, Dongtai County. The result of application shows that the system could automatically monitor the livestock and poultry farming environmental factors and it is cost-effective and easy to operate and suitable for medium and small size farms.
