Electrical facilities of traditional low-voltage distribution system and electric machinecontrol system are usually composed of circuit breaker, contactor, thermal relay, etc, inorder to realize the control and protection of the distribution system and electric machine.The control and protection systems which are made up of many different functionalcomponents have some disadvantages such as work reliability is low, protection featurematching is not reasonable, economical efficiency is low and so on. Control and protectionswitch collect a variety of different electrical control and protection functions in an organicwhole, it can effectively solve the coordination problems between electrical appliances,and can effectively reduce the overall volume, improve the reliability.This article comes from Shenyang Daming electrical co., LTD., the CPS is thesubsequent product of SDMK1series products. In the paper, design and research of690V/1250A control and protection switch ware completed on the basis of understanding andreference of SDMK1series switchs. Firstly, using traditional methods and experienceof low-voltage apparatus design to design the structure and parameters of the control andprotection switch and verify its rationality, then using the finite element software MaxwellAnsoft to simulat electrodynamic force of the contact system. Secondly, the arc extinguishchamber is designed based on the basic principle of arcing and the characteristics of thecontactor structure, in order to ensure the switch reliable breaking arc. Finally,designedthe structural parameters of the electromagnetic system,adopt the way of working thatdouble coils and full voltage to actuate, one coil to keep, then the Maxwell Ansoft3D thetransient solver ware used to simulate static and dynamic characteristics of theelectromagnetic system. The simulation of main parameters of body structure andcomparison and analysis of the simulation results proved the feasibility and scientific ofthe theoretical analysis and design.
