The pantograph-catenary system is an important component of the electrified railway in traction power supply system, offline phenomena will happen during the operation of pantograph-catenary system. Pantograph-catenary offline will bring serious electromagnetic noise problem, and the main source of electromagnetic noise is offline arc. This paper design a pantograph-catenary experiment system, using NI data acquisition card and PC software LabView make up a data acquisition and storage system, acquisition and storage the experiment voltage, current, temperature, pressure data and so on. It analyses conducted noise from the time domain and frequency domain, finding that when exposed to the distortion current asymmetric case, there will be a dc component, it will make the transformer magnetic saturation. By analyzing a large amount of experimental data, get the current distortion condition in different experimental conditions. Calculating the total harmonic distortion rate, then get the current total harmonic distortion rate characteristic curve in different experimental conditions, studying the electromagnetic noise characteristics in view of harmonic distortion. Finally, a mathematical model is obtained by data fitting, this model can provide a strong theoretical basis for the subsequent pantograph-catenary system conducted electromagnetic noise experimental research work. The study found that abundant odd harmonics and even harmonics exist in the runtime of pantograph-catenary system, and the total harmonic distortion rate decreases with the increase of contact pressure, as the speed increases, decreases with the increase of current slowly. The results of this paper can help you further understanding of electrified railway electromagnetic noise, it can be provide theoretical support for the electromagnetic compatibility design in electrification railway.
